> 3 dayGot one of these for my new iPad Pro 2020. Id like to be able to keep all my movies and photos on it to be able to have direct access to if I dont have an internet connection. When I got the drive, I plugged it into my Mac, downloaded a photo file folder, then plugged it into the iPad and boom, there were all the photos just like youd expect. No reformatting, no use of the Samsung included software. I did not find an explanation of what that software is for, but apparently it does not matter. Its nice that the iPad has pretty much all of the functionality of a normal computer now. External drives, file folder system, mouse/touchpad support etc. All we had to do was keep shoveling money at Apple for 10 years to get it

> 3 dayIt’s a great portable drive. It effectively expands my surface book’s storage by 8 times. Moving 300 GB’s of photos to it and doing a full backup takes some time. Moving lots of data on such a large drive makes you realize why people pay more for the pci-e and thunderbolt drives. Those are too much though. I got a really great deal on a refurbished one on here though.

> 3 dayI was excited to have a portable SSD drive to take with me on to go. Unfortunately, within the past year I’ve had 2 incidents where the drive just randomly decides to stop working. It doesn’t show up when connected to my Mac. All it does it drive up the fans to 100%, and the only way to get it working again is to format it. I’ve lost all my information twice, and this happened AFTER my return and tech support window closed. The drive just stays on my desk most of the time and away from other possible magnetic and static interference. I only needed to travel with it once, and the drive worked fine afterwards so I don’t know how or why this drive is behaving the way it is. All I know is that I’m tired of losing my data and am afraid to reformat it again just so the drive can seize up again in the near future. Pretty disappointed as i purchased this external SSD for its reputation and great reviews.
