The only thing I would prefer is Sandisks extreme portable ssd. That one has a soft exterior so it doesnt slide as much. This one here (samsung) is a smooth metal exterior, so it could slide easily. But other than that, love this item.

No sure why a lot of Mac users arent recommending this product. I have three of these (T3, and two T5s). I dont use the software on the SSDs. I always reformat the drive before I first use it. Its fast - transferred 162 GB of footage in 6 minutes onto the drive. Love these.

Works like a charm. I use it to back up my laptop and iPhone. I have a second one as sentry storage for my Tesla Model 3. Highly recommend this drive

Good product

This external hard drive is by far the best one Ive used. I have bought many others for personal use for data backup and for expanding my game capacity on my Xbox One and this Samsung SSD outshines others such as WD and Sandisk. This product is not only small and compact, a plus in my books, but also has very easy-to-use and streamlined software included. None of the extra stuff like WD likes to force on you. Now, maybe this review is a bit skewed, as this is my first external SSD drive. But hardware aside, the software alone makes this drive better.

I had thousands of important pictures and docs on several different laptops, including older units. I wanted them all on one solid-state storage device. Easy set-up, and then just started moving files. Somewhat expensive, but I feel better having everything in one location

1 USB C port, one led light next to the port. Capacity is listed on the bottom so if you have more than one of these you may want to label them. Next time I would pay the premium for a color other than black, too easy to misplace.

As we are migrating to new machines these samsung units have turned out to be a complete waste of money. Theuy can not be read by new M1 Macs and their software update for M1 Macs doesnt work. Very dissapointing.
