Not happy with this product. Very sparse description of product prior to buying. No discussion of use as back up drive for Mac (Time Machine), When connected to Mac, Time Machine would not accept Samsung format. When formatted for Time Machine, cannot eject drive after backups. When attempting to reformat drive with Samsung software drive not recognized. Samsung documentation not written at consumer level. No indication of any support source of Samsung. Would return for refund if I could.

This is an excellent product.

I wish this was cheaper considering the capacity, but when you make the best products, you can charge what you want. I love that is has password protection built right in. It is lightweight, the speeds are incredible over usb-c, and it is compact enough that I forget its in my pocket. (be careful of that last one. Almost washed it once.) Make it cheaper and it will sell like hot cakes.

Really compact for a 1Tb drive and fast. What else do you need to know.

I purchased this for my Xbox One X because of the lack of storage. Worked perfectly out of the box. The set up was fast and easy. I like how small they are and how easy it is to hide.

[Edit] the auto encryption feature was hiding my partitions, once I turned it off I was able to see my data and the device is working as intended, although unclear why my thunderbolt 3 port on my laptop isn’t giving me the right read/write speeds with this drive.

I keep my video projects/media on these. They are fast enough to work and transfer quickly. Cant wait for larger ones. Sometimes I need more than one for a project.

good storage for images.

I have three of these T5s in three different sizes, all are reliable and fast. I bought this one after the t7s came out and am glad I stuck with the T5 after seeing the T7 reviews.
