Very compact with the expected read and write speeds. Very short cable is included. You might wish to purchase a longer one. No LED to indicate activity, which is why only 4 star rating.

Its very rare that Im surprised by electronics, but the new SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD is one time that my expectations were surpassed. The drive is much smaller and lighter than I thought it would be when I first ordered it. This drive weights next to nothing and is wrapped in a durable, rubberized coating to keep it water resistant. When it was delivered, I was convinced that only the hard case, which I ordered with this drive, was in the package. Thats how feather-light this drive is.

This disk is fast and reliable. Works with both Mac and Windows

One you use SSD you can’t go back to HDD. I’m an editor and I wanted something that was light weight and portable and most Importantly reliable while editing a project. This has given me that, with Disk hard drives I was always scared of losing my data. I haven’t had that worry since I’ve started using this.
