This product is by far the best addition I have for my switch. I cant believe I didnt buy it sooner. It feels so comfortable in my hands now just sitting at home or in a car like holding a giant game boy.

This is the grip you want. There are lots to choose from suck it pay the extra money and be patient with shipping. Its high quality feels great. And the asymmetrical design on the right hand fixes the issues of the other grips. It makes it feel closer to the pro controller by placing the face buttons at the natural diagnol comfort design. Also doubles as a servicable table stand. Includes rubber analogue caps for your joy cons. I already have some that came with my surge single joy con grips but its nice to have spares. Especially if I end up with another pair of joy cons.

I bought this grip directly from their website. I like to play in handheld mode and wanted to get something that would make the my gaming experience more comfortable for long stretches of time. I read and watched a plethora of reviews and this grip universally got good marks, so I thought Id give it a try! I hate this grip. Oh man, do I HATE this grip. I dislike almost every design element of this thing. The asymmetrical design is the unique characteristic of this grip and the main feature that the company proudly advertises. But... why? The left hand feels great, but the right hand feels awful. There is added material on the right handle that pushes your hand further away from the switch console. If you have large hands this might seem tolerable, but for anyone with medium to small hands, it puts your fingers a bit out of natural reach of the YXBA buttons and the shoulder buttons. I think their goal was to make it so your thumb rests more comfortably on the analog stick (it even shows that in their marketing pic), but again... why? Majority of games you will be pressing the buttons way more than using the analog stick, and even games that make heavy use of the stick still requires you to hit the buttons. Also, the right handle angles more outward than downward, unlike the left handle. Again if you have anything but large hands, it makes it so your hand no longer cradles the bottom of the handle for support, thus it feels like the grip is constantly slipping out of your hands. To compensate, you have to slide your hand further down, which makes the ergonomics worse and makes the already hard to reach buttons even harder to press. Now lets talk about using it as a stand. This was a big reason why I chose this product since the built-in kickstand on the switch is garbage. Well turns out this grip is even more worthless. It props the switch straight up instead of at an angle, making the viewing angle completely unplayable unless you have some unique table that sits at eye level. You also cant charge it when its in this position without purchasing an expensive L shaped cable on the side. The grip also has the ability to scratch the side of your joycons when putting it in and out, so that is something to be aware of if you like keeping your stuff in mint condition. This grip could have been amazing if they had just made the right handle mirror the left one, and made it stand at an angle. I really dont understand why they designed it the way they did. Maybe their target audience plays different games than I do, and have vastly larger and differently shaped hands.

After hours and hours of perfecting my farm, honing my fishing skills, and battling the caves of Stardew Valley, my fingers and wrists felt broken trying to hold and support the not-so-ergonomically shaped switch. Ive only had this grip for one day, and the second I held it in my hands, I was instantly relieved! Hoping the feeling remains after long term use, but so far I am extremely happy with this purchase!

When I play games that involve the directional buttons such as Tetris 99, a game that I’ve dropped over a 1,000 hours into, every single time that i press the left directional button on the left joycon my left thumb bumps into and digs into the grip. I could see this being an issue using any game that primarily uses the directional buttons on the left joycon such as fighters or retro games. A solution and product suggestion would be to chop off a tiny section of the left portion of the grip to reduce how many times your left thumb touches the grip. This is a great grip option pending on the game that you play. Unfortunately, Tetris 99 is not one of them. If you play Tetris 99 or retro games consider keeping the box around in case you want to return it.

Couldn’t recommend this product any more. Regardless of hand size, we all know the switch isn’t comfortable. This product is hands down a game changer and a must for any switch owner.
