Ive been buying lots of types of hair ties for my daughters long, very curly hair. Weve been looking for something thick enough to contain it but that wont pull and break her hair. These are not the droids were looking for. They definitely pull. My hair is straight and Ive tried them and they hurt when removed. My hair seems to get rolled up in the silicone, for some reason, and I get several strands all wrapped around the thing. So far, our go-to for the long and curly hair are the spiral silicone doohickies. Theyre time-consuming to get situated but they dont hurt like these.

The hair tie itself I give a 10. However i ordered primary colors and received neon. Notthat big a deal outside of the fact i had just ordered 56 neon colors the previous week. Of you order these just know you will not receive primary colors. I have super fine hair these are the only ones that will stay all day. They do eventually break. But you get multiple uses out of them. These do not get stretched and worn out. I can no longer find them in stores. They will snag in your hair of you dont carefully unwind them the same as you put them in. These are the only hair ties you will ever need.

I love these bands so much. They don’t slip out like regular bands, but they don’t damage hair like rubber bands.

I have thick, curly hair. These are the only ties I buy any more. Everything else just falls out, loosens at inopportune times, or snaps randomly. I hate having my hair in my face, so these are a necessity. Love the bulk pack, especially since my 3 year old loves practicing putting her hair up with them.

For those days when a normal hairtie isnt getting the job done these are like instant grip no slip.

Only hair ties my girls and I can use that will stay in our fine, soft hair. They can get tangled in our hair if not careful removing but not much different than normal hair ties.

All my life I have had coarse hair that traditional wrapped elastic hair ties couldnt hold in place. These gel hair ties stay in place and dont damage my hair when I pull them out. Some folks complain about the branding on the band causing the bands to snap, but I have rarely had this happen. For me the magic-disappearing ponytail band has more to do with kids taking them and never giving them back! And, of course, I lose them since when I take them out I dont always pay attention to where I put them. Anyway, these are the best. I wish they offered more in the white/translucent style, since that works best in a professional setting, but I recommend them highly. They last, they stay put, and they dont damage your hair. I hope Scunci makes them forever and keeps them at a reasonable purchase price. Or the end of the world, whichever comes first.

The only hair tie I have ever liked. I have very curly, thick, and frizzy hair. These don’t stretch out. They hold my hair in place all day. And they never get stuck or rip my hair out.
