Got this yesterday for my oscars fish tank, put in the recommended amount as listed on the bottle, and this morning, the water was crystal clear! Plus, it greatly helped reduce the odor that was coming from the water (despite daily water changes). Oscars are notoriously known for the massive amount of waste they produce, so its looking like this stuff is going to be a lifesaver. Couldnt be happier with it.

Here I am again letting all you fish keepers know what a good quality product Seachem has! I have tried numerous other brands in my 30+ years keeping tanks nothing does the job better than Seachem Pristine. How I know it works simple my setups are large African 135 gallon and SA/CA 220 Gallon Tanks along with others. When I do my filter maintenance on any of my Fluval FX filters which about every 4 months my filters could actually go another month easily same when a do my gravel vacs very little detritus accumulates in my gravel. As you can tell I am a big user and believer of all Seachem products If you want great looking tanks with Pristine water and healthy and vibrant fish use Seachem products

My daughters tank was extremely high in nitrates and nitrites. This product completely helped along with changes, now all levels are good.

Since the product description on Amazon doesnt tell you anything about this great product, I figured I give you the information on the label. Pristine™ uses bio-augmentation, a non-chemical and natural method, to improve water quality. It provides bacteria that break down excess food, waste and detritus in freshwater and marine systems. It will also reduce excess nutrients (e.g. ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites) that may fuel the growth of nuisance and disease-causing organisms. Pristine™ increases water clarity and promotes overall better health for the aquatic environment. The bacteria species in Pristine™ thrive in fresh or salt water and can utilize a wide range of organic compounds, including fats that can cause unsightly films. Unlike traditional nitrifying bacteria, this bacterial blend can adapt to harsh or low oxygen environments and continue to multiply and improve water conditions. Biopolymers produced by established bacterial colonies trap particulates and increase water clarity. The species of bacteria in Pristine™ are a unique blend, specifically developed for hardiness and their ability to adapt to a wide variety of environmental conditions. Sizes: 100 mL, 250 mL, 500 mL, 4 L, 20 L Directions Shake well before use. Turn off UV/ozone. Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 40 L (10 US gallons). Then use a maintenance dose of 1 capful (5 mL) per 80 L (20 US gallons) with additions of livestock or the disruption of the biofilter through cleaning or medications. Antibiotics should be removed with fresh carbon and a water change before adding bacteria. Allow 2 or 3 days for the bacteria to become established before using UV sterilizers or ozone. Recurring problems with high nutrients can indicate overstocking, overfeeding or inadequate filtration.

I dont know if it works or not, cant tell the difference. No visual changes from use. Not saying that it doesnt work, but I cant tell you if it did for me.

Seachem’s Pristine uses bioaugmentation, a non-chemical and natural method, to improve water quality. It provides bacteria that break down excess food, waste, and detritus in freshwater and marine systems. For over three decades, Seachem has been a company rooted in sound science. Our experience in the hobby and educated staff of chemists and biologists are part of the package when you purchase Seachem products. Seachem remains as one of the few surviving independent and privately owned pet care companies. Seachem is owned and operated by hobbyists. All of our employees are hobbyists who maintain aquariums at home and at the office. Seachem itself was started because one such passionate hobbyist - Dr. Leo G. Morin (Founder) - recognized the lack of available solutions to aquarists". . This resulted in Seachem’s very first product: Cupraplex (today known as Cupramine). Over thirty years later Seachem is still approaching old problems in a new way. Seachem’s philosophy is that the knowledgeable hobbyist makes the best customer. This is reflected in solid and reliable customer education and support as well as products proven in science and performance. While Seachem has grown rapidly into a national and international firm, it retains the culture of a small company and is readily available to its customers.
