Seachem Pristine Aquarium Treatment, 500ml (001438)

Im a fan of all Seachem products

I highly recommend all of the products from Seachem, and they were highly recommended to me by people I respect in the aquarium business

The first time my order arrived without a cap, I thought it was a fluke. The second time, well now Im just annoyed. How does one close something sold without the screw-on cap? Unfortunately, this time Id already recycled the old bottle, that Id closed with the cap from the previous bottle. Guess I should have known better. The product itself is great. The packaging is crap.

I add this with every water change and it helps to keep my water clear and tank clean.

Worked great. I was able to extend my water change another wk. Worked almost too well. Ive had people give me mixed reviews regarding the effectiveness. Im sure heat storage etc may effect viability of product but people should understand that the type of bacteria that feeds of nitrates are found in very low to no oxygen levels. So if you have good water circulation it may not work very well. I have bettas and planted tanks so I have very low flow to the point I have to add an air stone on occasion to get the water moving in certain areas. I dont suggest using this in place of water changes but I use it on occasion to lower nitrates enough so I can do all my thanks at the same time. Its worked great so far.

I dose a little bit of this stuff every other water change and coupled with purigen and a few other products the water is consistently crystal clear. It wont save you if youre overfeeding, have too much light, or neglect regular water changes/chemistry, but it does seem to work quite well for me.

Worked wonders in my guppie fish tank. Just like others have mentioned, I thought I had clear water before buying this, then I used it and found out what clear water looks like. Fish are nice and healthy.

Yet another reliable Seachem product! I have a near-adult axolotl (his name is Meat!), and Pristine helped deal with detritus and breaking down larger particles of waste that I had. Pristine can coexist with Stability, and is healthy to use for my axolotl. I find that using Pristine, Purigen, and Stability helps neutralize any ammonia issues that I have in between my regular weekly water changes. All three together also help keep my tank super clear! Overall, I recommend this product to any axolotl owner. Its good to have for peace of mind, and helps keep your axies home environment stable and clear :-)
