    Great for cycling a tank with fish or responding to a catastrophe, every aquarium owner should make sure they have some at hand. Would be nice to buy it in smaller pots though, Ill never use all this up no matter how badly I neglect my tank!

    I wish I had discovered this product sooner. It is basically the concentrated powdered form of Seachem Prime. Most economical way to dechlorinate water if you have several hundred gallons of aquariums like me. It smells like sulfur in its solid form but its tolerable and only noticeable if you keep the bottle open.

    Arrived with seal broken. It looks like it is a little lighter than it should be but honestly just not worth the effort of returning for a replacement. Still works but the less than stellar QC is just bad.

Sachem Safe Water Conditioner Safe is the complete and concentrated dry conditioner for both fresh and salt water. Safe removes chlorine, chloramine and ammonia. Safe converts ammonia into a safe, non-toxic form that is readily removed by the tank"s bio filter. Safe may be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrite toxicity. Safe detoxifies nitrite and nitrate, allowing the bio filter to more efficiently remove them. Safe is non-acidic and will not impact ph. Safe will not over activate skimmers. Use at start-up and whenever adding or replacing water. Safe is the dry version of Prime(R) and shares all of it"s advantages; however, Safe is even more concentrated than Prime(R) . Product Features: Works great with freshwater and saltwater aquariums Non-acidic and won"t impact pH Will not over activate skimmers Item Specifications: Sizes: 8oz 2.2lb 8.8lb Directions: To remove-(Directions for 8.8oz or higher) Chlorine: use 5 g (1 tsp.*) to each 1625 L (450 gallons*) of tap water (removes 4 ppm). Chloramine: use 5 g (1 tsp.*) to each 1250 L (300 gallons*) of tap water (removes 4 ppm). Ammonia: use 5 g (1 tsp.*) to each 400 L (100 gallons*) of tap water (removes 4 ppm). Do not overdose To detoxify nitrite/nitrate in an emergency situation use up to 5 g (1 tsp.*) to each 400 L (100 gallons*). Use fish to gauge toxicity reduction as test kits will still show presence of nitrite/nitrate even when detoxified. May be added to aquarium directly, but is better if added to new water first. If adding directly to aquarium, base dose on aquarium volume. If temperature is > 30 C (86 F) cut dosing in half.
