Really simple to install into a PS5. There are cheaper PS5-compatible SSDs available, but I think it was worth paying a little more for the slightly quicker speeds and larger heatsink.

You can pretty much get any SSD that will fit and work. This one is fast and large enough for the price. I cannot speak to the long term reliability of this discount drive. If I can then Ill update the post in a year or so.

love this ssd. i had a 1tb one in ps5 and upgraded to this 2tb. I now have the 1tb in my gaming pc and these are the best ssd with long lifespan.

The speed, previous i had a Seagate FC 510, and now, with SFC 530, the read and write operation improve more or less in 50%

Product worked at the beggining on my PS5. After roughly 5 months, the PS5 started shutting down, losing power. After turning it on again and again it kept giving me the blue light of death. Had to do a hard factory reset, and nothing happened. I removed the SSD to test it again and sure enough, the PS5 booted and worked, no problem. Seagate or Amazon DONT do refunds on this product. BEWARE. I bought a Samsung 980 Pro SSD in March and so far so good. Lets see how it goes.
