Works perfectly for the PS4 pro after a little time for the pro to recognize it. I recommend powering off the ps4 the regular way and not holding the power button :( as this drive didnt power down correctly and had to recover itself. Nothing was corrupted though :D

It’s an affordable but good external storage option to use on PS5 and I love it. The storage capacity is as advertised and the downloading speed is slightly slower than the actual console (that’s why it got 4/5 stars) but it’s still pretty rapid. I queued about 12 games to download to it last night and put my PS5 on test mode and they were all downloaded by the time I woke up so yes you can use rest mode during storage downloads as well. I haven’t come across any lags or long loading times when playing the games directly from the external storage drive either. Overall I’m not disappointed at all and the price of it was the best part considering most good external game storage hardrives cost over $100 so I’ve been recommending this to all my gamers who don’t want to spend that much on storage.

It worked good for about a year then it corrupted and bricked. I have crap internet too so its going to take me months to reinstall all my games.... Wouldnt recommend seagate this is the second drive Ive had that they make and they both bricked within a year of getting them

Extremely easy to install, noiseless, quintupled the drivespace of my PS4 Pro. Now I can have all my games on there.

Allowed my kids to expand their game collection. Plugged it in, formatted it and never had an issue.

I transferred about 400GB from my PS4 system storage to this USB storage as soon as I received it. It took about an hour to transfer and all was good to start gaming again.

It does work with the PS5. It will store and play PS4 games from the external hard drive. It will store PS5 games on it, HOWEVER, you have to move the game to internal storage in order to play. Also, this external hard drive has to be plugged into the USB in the back of the PS5. I would definitely recommend especially if you have a lot of PS4 games.

Used this on a PS4 Pro and life is so much better.
