Seiwa Tokonole Leather Finish Burnishing Gum Clear Leathercraft (120g)

This paste is easy to use, can be applied very thinly so ends up being fairly economical. I applied with my fingers and it washed off easily. I used it to slick the flesh side on the lid of a leather box. Applied a thin coat, let dry until tacky, and then used a 3 inch glass slicker. It only took 3 passes to see results, and the entire surface was so smooth it nearly looked like skin side. It took dye well too, though slightly darker than the “unslicked”areas. This and the glass slicker are definitely permanent additions to my workbench.

レザークラフト初心者ですが、とりあえず1つ使い切ったのでリピートです。

I had used Gum Trag for years and saw this being used on You Tube. Decided to try it, and glad I did. It burnishes leather edges beautifully, they are shiny and smooth. I case the leather edges first and then use this cream and canvas. Fantastic results, I am hooked.

Leak happens, cap is not tight enough...

Burnishing leather edges that require a nice sheen: Tokonole will do an excellent job and you need very little to burnish leather edges to a high luster. I like it for finer quality leather items. For outdoor leather items I prefer beeswax because I dont want a high sheen and like waterproofing abilities of beeswax. For everything else Tokonole is outstanding. Unfortunately the little tub leaks when it arrives and you loose some to start with. Better packaging or a leakproof lid would be appreciated.
