Its extremely disappointing that these specific Sengled smart plugs dont work with Alexa. You do need an additional app (Sengled Ble Mesh) to control it. Theres no way to connecr this app up with Alexa. It does work from the app but not what we were looking for. We needed it to connect to Alexa.

I purchased these plugs to operate appliances with Alexa. There was no mention that the network wi-fi the Alexa is connected to must be a 2.4 G system. DO NOT purchase if you have a 5G network!!!!

had some off-brand smart plugs but they kept going offline. These are great and work perfectly with my Amazon Echo/ Alexa. Highly recommend

I can turn my Christmas tree on and off like a first year Hogwarts student. Set it up to Alexa and labeled it with the command “Luminos” great fun.

I have Sengled wifi bulbs and am very happy with them. I purposely searched out their WiFi plugs—disappointing that this eases a goofy Bluetooth Mesh connectivity that requires it to be close to an Alexa device. I thought I was getting WiFi. It was a pain to set up, even though it says easy connectivity. Not sure I’ll keep them as I can’t seem to control the one I finally did get set up. Sengled missed the boat on this one.
