> 3 dayBecause these home automation devices require a cloud account to interact with them its like the manufacture shipped e-waste directly from the factory to my garbage can. And why wouldnt they demand that you create yet another account on yet another server under the guise of voluntary (its not) and the cloud (its not), even though the device(s) can run locally just fine without a cloud account on your local mobile device that knows what to do with Bluetooth? Why spend time and money engineering covert utilization data monitoring or back doors into your application or product only to be discovered by some pesky security researcher later. Better to just force the user to register the product in a cloud account somewhere so you can exfiltrate that user data the easy way using the cloud as a plausible excuse. 0 of 5 stars. WILL NOT recommend, and that is not to say CAN NOT or WOULD NOT or COULD NOT, but rather a long-considered, thought-out stance against lazy or sloppy programming or the outright desire to spy on users by forcing them into a cloud account in the application that controls these devices even though there is no demonstrable need for it. Save yourself the time and the money. Find something else that allows local control of your Bluetooth, Z-Wave, or Zigbee devices or something that will interoperate with Hubitat or other local command and control infrastructure.

> 3 dayI purchased a set of 4 Sengled color bulbs and 4 smart plugs to use with Alexa. While set up was easy through Alexa, two days ago Alexa lost connectivity with all of these devices. No amount of resetting, deleting, re-installing, will work. No help online. The Sengled customer support website does not have info on the bluetooth devices. I have 2 Sengled *wifi* bulbs and those work okay. The bluetooth devices are going back to Amazon.

> 3 dayFollowed instructions, and worked well at the start. Within a few days, Alexa said the plug was unresponsive. I turned on the light OK, but would not turn it off. Instead, I bought an electro-mechanical unit that works just as needed.

> 3 dayI have Sengled wifi bulbs and am very happy with them. I purposely searched out their WiFi plugs—disappointing that this eases a goofy Bluetooth Mesh connectivity that requires it to be close to an Alexa device. I thought I was getting WiFi. It was a pain to set up, even though it says easy connectivity. Not sure I’ll keep them as I can’t seem to control the one I finally did get set up. Sengled missed the boat on this one.

> 3 dayWe recently upgraded to Google Fiber and our prior plugs only supported 2.4 ghz, so they were incompatible. I loved that I didn’t have to have another app to set these up and manage them - just plugged them in, discovered them with the Alexa app and they work like a charm. No disconnects or interruptions. Definitely would buy again.

> 3 dayThese plugs work ok … when they work. I bought a four-pack. I wanted to connect two lights, one in each bedroom and thought having a couple extra for future use was a good idea. Turned out, I needed the extras now. Plugged them in and waited for Alexa to find them. The first plug I tried wouldnt connect to either of the lights at all. Just failed out of the box. The next two are ok--sort of. One works fine all the time. The other not so much. It frequently wont connect. Tried in both rooms with similar outcomes. At first, I attributed the sporadic function to some sort of interference with the Christmas lights plugged in the same outlet. Then Christmas was over, and lights put away, but the plug still functioned intermittently. Then I thought it might be a line of sight issue. Nope. Most annoying, because itll work function fine, then ten minutes later say the lamp isnt responding. Very odd....and annoying. I havent yet tried the fourth plug. I have to say that my first smart plug was an Amazon plug for my living room and it has never failed to function, even though the plug is about 25ft away from Alexa. These Sengled plugs are only a 1-2 feet from the lights. So now it’s a year later and both plugs never improved. Still intermittent.
