Sennheiser Genuine Adapter Cable Female 1/4 6.3mm to Male 1/8 3.5mm Plug for Headphones

Pricey but you get what you pay for. I use it everyday (on my headphones), no noise, no crackles, just perfect sound. This is an accessory item you dont want to skimp on. If you need, buy it. It will last.

Received product as described. Supposedly manufactured by Sennheiser, though unbranded. Maybe its Sennheiser, maybe not, but this seems to be a well made adaptor. The 1/4th inch plug on my headphones snaps in place tight and secure - there is no play whatsoever. The flexibility of the cable alleviates the potentially damaging leverage that movement can exert on the small 1/8th inch plug and component jack. Tight fit ensures good contact. Happy overall, but price is steep for unbranded item, thus 4 stars.

Ive had two other adapters--purchased for around five dollars--that failed me, my Sennheirser earphones, music, games, etc. I always had to tweak the adapter to get full sound and was always left wondering if I did (or did not) get the full audio experience. Often, while playing games, Id only catch some of the dialog or, in the case of ResEvil 2 remake, get taken out because I couldnt hear a certain Mr. X. Dreadful. Music was always dicey too as Id get some of the audio but not all of it. Long/short the adapters failed and I was better off with the decent, but unspectacular, headphones included with my phone (Samsung).

Excellent quality. My old reference standard headphones can now be used with my iTouch and i Phone

My 3.5mm end got torqued not too hard and it broke right off, why not inset the outer 3.5mm ring into the plastic casing by more than 1mm?! Since the 3.5mm end is not inset far enough, all of the force is transferred to the wire and it breaks right off.
