I have owned Sony MDR 7506, Sony WH100XM3, Razer Kraken, Grado SR80x, and now these Sennheiser HD560S. These are by far the best sounding headphones out of what I have used. I bought these specifically for editing as Ive heard they are very flat and they are very neutral, not too much bass not too much highs.

Sounds great! Huge upgrade in sound quality over my Bose QC25 headphones. I was concerned whether high impedance (120 ohms) headphones would require a headphone amp. But these get plenty loud enough on my PC and android phone. I ended up buying a shorter 3.5mm cable for convenience.

Amazing clarity/detail, mids and highs are the shining point of these headphones and if you like treble these headphones have plenty. Even though the highs mids and highs are so well emphasized there not sharp and dont really have any sibilants. The bass is actually pretty good but the really down low bass is lacking. Id say there well balanced and are good cheap audiophile headphone.

Great sounding headphones at this price range. Comfort is great too. I use them for gaming and dont experience any issues with ears getting hot.

You can not find headphones at this price that sound this good. Very nice for mixing or anything that requires critical listening. Not bass monsters but that is a good thing.

Great sound for the money. The highs are kinda harsh. No bass, clean mids, feels very comfortable to wear for many hours, No sweating on your ears. Sound quality is low energy if using a phone to power it, an amp would definitely solve this.

Let me preface this by saying this is my third pair of Sennheiser headphones - first the HD58x, then the PC38x, and now these. I will also add that I have an extremely large head, so comfort is sadly hard to come by for me. Having said that, I find these to be more than adequate in terms of comfort and the sound quality is just excellent.

Its a great all- rounder for the price. Doesnt have as good detail or imaging as the HD660s but is better tuned then the HD 6xx. Superior tuning lets it sound balanced, clear and more dynamic then the 6XXs, initially. Further critical listening with a decent amp allows the HD6XXs to show better definition and more depth without the treble grainyness of the 560s. SOUNDSTAGE is what the 560s ultimately provides that the HD5 and HD6 lines dont and along the great tuning and some dampening combination , initiating all the buzz over them.

The HD 560S indulges the audiophile evaluating their music’s entire journey through the audio path. This open-back headphone is tuned to reveal the truth in your music without sacrificing the gratifying bass response needed to reproduce complex modern music—all at a breakthrough value. Its transducers are angled to recreate the optimal triangular listening position for a wide, articulate soundstage. The lightweight design of the HD 560S gives the listener a “barely there” experience for extended listening
sessions. The low-impedance drivers offer the flexibility to reproduce hi-fi sound on virtually any of your audio devices such as portable digital audio players, laptops, A/V receivers, audio interfaces and more. A detachable 3 meter cable provides the perfect amount of freedom to access your gear, and features a
6.3mm plug with a flexible 3.5mm adapter. This combination of accuracy, wide sound field, smooth bass performance, and long-term listening comfort make the HD 560S suitable for hi-fi aficionados and music tasks alike.
