> 3 dayI have 5 cats - 2 of them are older Maine Coons who have long hair and at the age where it sheds easily. I also have long hair. I got really tired of sweeping my downstairs twice a day from cat litter, etc. All but my bedroom downstairs has the fake wood flooring (no better way to describe it). In recent years, Ive owned two Dyson Ball vacuums and neither have ever worked well and have needed frequent repairs. Ive also owned a Shark Rocket vacuum and while it was easier to maneuver, the hose just below the floor attachment cracked and duct tape wouldnt cut it anymore. So.... I bought this one on Black Friday this past November. I really didnt care that one of the accessory attachments was missing - hardly use those anyway. Using this twice a day has made my upper arm chronically sore, but still easier than sweeping morning and night. Pros: it did what I wanted it to do and made my daily cleaning a lot easier, (other than the sore arm!). It sits nicely up close against a wall and easy to keep charged. Its also true that hair does NOT get wrapped around the brushes! I got very tired of having to cut out the hair every time I used my other Shark Rocket vac. Cons: One of the same reasons I hated my Dyson vacs, getting the hair out of the canister requires using my hands to sweep or pull it out. All the filters in the world in bagless vacuums are useless when you end up attempting to empty the canister! Plus the cat litter forms a powder that leaves a residue in the canister. Also, hair wound around the tiny front wheels in the first couple of uses and is virtually impossible to get back off. I dont even think they can turn anymore and its been less than 2 months since I started using this machine. The bigger back wheels also squeak now. While the vacuum has plenty of suction power to pick up litter, cat food crumbs, etc., it will only do so when vacuuming forwards. Pulling the vacuum backwards, causes these things to be spit back out. I have yet to take this machine upstairs where I have all carpet. It does fine in the one room downstairs, so Im not sure how it would do running it longer upstairs (still use one of my Dysons up there). So, my review is incomplete. Like I said, its also only been 2 months since I purchased this. This is my first cordless vacuum and I love the cordless factor. Its definitely kept my floors downstairs much cleaner than just sweeping (cut down on need to mop, which I hate) and my bedroom carpet has been much easier to keep under control, because its much easier to use than my previous vacuum cleaners. However, with all the issues already present (especially with the wheels), its questionable how long this thing will last. Well have to wait and see, I guess.

> 3 dayIts a great vacuum. However there are a couple issues. What I received is different than whats listed. Mine has power fins and brushes on the roller instead of just power fins. Also, Im missing the anti allergen dust brush and pet multi tool. Pretty bummed because those are great to have as a pet owner. I was compensated fairly well for whats missing but I might return this down the line. If you buy one, make sure youre not missing anything. Btw, the box mine came in was brown and doesnt list the items Im missing are included even though the Amazon description says its included.

> 3 dayEDIT: After many emails back and forth with Shark, they finally agreed to send me the missing attachments. Took a few months to get all of them, as they sent 1 at a time as they became available, but I have them all now. As I said before, the vacuum works great and my only reason for the initial 1 star review was that I didnt receive all the attachments. Now that I have them, Ill change to a 4 star review. Taking off one star because I had to work way harder than I should have had to to get them -- and because they are STILL advertising as included the parts that Shark says are not included. This works great to get the cat hair out of my carpet, BUT the only attachment I received was the crevice tool. I dont want to return it, but is there any way the 2 dusting brushes pictured can be sent to me? UPDATE: Per the product description, WHATS INCLUDED: Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum, Crevice Tool, Dusting Brush, Pet Multi-Tool and Anti-Allergen Brush. The only attachment I got was the crevice tool. Amazon says my only recourse is to return the item or work with Shark. Dont want to return it, as I love the vacuum and it was a Black Friday deal. I contacted Shark, and they say the items are NOT included, but I can purchase them (at a cost of almost $60, plus tax and shipping). Aint gonna do that either. So Im changing my review to 1 star for lousy customer service. Neither Amazon nor Shark wants to take credit for the false advertising. Buyer beware.

> 3 dayUPDATE 5/22/22: Its almost 6 months later and I am still very happy with this purchase. Thought I killed it about a month ago by sucking up water (trying to clean, toddler running amok, was right by pet bowl). But I immediately turned it off, wiped out what I could, and left it sitting off and open for several days. It has not shown any issues thus far. (Certainly wouldnt recommend doing this, but just an observation). I still would recommend using this as mostly an alternative for sweeping. It does ok on our very small area rugs, but our traditional vacuum runs circles around this on our rugs in our downstairs family room as far as pet hair. I got this hand held vac to replace our dustmop for our plank vinyl floors. I have horrible allergies, but sweeping seems to aggravate them. That being said, I still put this vac to the test. We have central vac, and its a pain to haul that sucker out for area rugs. We have black utility rugs by our doors, and a white pit bull who loves rolling on them (get a pit bull my husband said, they hardly shed my husband said! Yeah right!). Plus its winter and the salt and debris makes them look awful. The right side in the photos was our central vac. Left side was the Shark handheld on carpet mode, no boost. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised! Now, if you are 2000sq.ft. wall to wall carpet, do I think you are going to replace your current vacuum cleaner with this? No. However, as a replacement for a Swiffer sweeper/ broom, or short matt area rugs, this little guy does well.

> 3 dayI was considering buying a third dyson, but then realized I would be buying a third dyson and switched to shark and I’m so glad I did. Having a German Shepherd, my shark vacuum has been a lifesaver.

Greater than one weekAs the title states, it makes me miss my older, brush roller, Shark stick vacuum. My older model had better suction, better cleaning heads, real bristles instead of these power blades for better deep cleaning on carpets. The power blades cant really pull granules out of my rugs and capret like the older skark did. The older model battery only lasted about 12 minutes on high power mode, this one lasts about 25 min. The ergonomics are strange, with 2 modes for carpet and hard floor (probably why the battery lasts longer), you have the option to pull the trigger for max suction for a temporary spot. I found myself strapping on a zip tie to keep it on permanently because it just wouldnt pick up granules on my hardwood floor, defeating the purpose for multi modes, its always in carpet, max suction mode for my needs. Its small enough to work under beds and dressers, lays all the way flat to get under things which is nice. My biggest gripe, you have to sperate the vacuum to stand it up for storage. I ended up putting a carabineer on it and hanging it so I didnt increase wear and tear on the unit. My old Shark could just be parked upright. For pet application it probably is fine. Hair is light and would suck up hair well... most likely. I purchased this vacuum for anti allergen properties, but I dont have pets. Cleaning is a breeze with the dump cup and quick access to the filter. Cleaning immediately after is recommended, I found that after a few days the filter can build up and make the suction even worse, but thats what its for! I purchased while I was moving and unfortunately didnt start using it until the return window had closed, so Im stuck with this vacuum, but if I were to do it over, Id look for the next model up, something with better ergonomics or more powerful suction with bristles.

> 3 dayWOW!!!! I bought this after my Hoover stick vacuum (R.I.P) died after years of good service but this Shark is the BEST! It picks up the dirt, fur, feathers, hair, whatever and even works great on carpets. It can go under couches, chairs, tables, in corners just about anywhere. Then you just pop off the top off it and its a hand held vac. It runs off a single charge long enough for me to get my whole house done (2700 sq. ft.) and the beauty is that Im not dragging a cord along with me. I love it, so much so that I bought one for my son and his wife. Highly recommend this vac.

> 3 dayFirst.. its time to throw the box out. It works well and there is no unit damage or faulty functioning. But there are a few things of which folks should be aware. One of the reasons I bought this vacuum was because it would fit below my sectional. Unfortunately, it will only go about 10 under because of a storage bracket for the handheld portion situated near the bottom. Additionally, the vacuum is very top heavy and wont stand up on its own when the unit is together. It needs to be laid down unless one wants to take it apart every time they want to rest it -- even if just to move a piece of furniture. And, although weights were given, I underestimated how heavy the top handheld vac portion is to use -- either when fully put together or on its own. In regular vacs, the weight is at the bottom, rests on the floor, and they will stand upright on their own. This unit will not. [I also never got the hepa filters on vacs which had no bag to catch the dirt, debris, dust. As soon as one goes to empty the container it flies everywhere. ] But, in terms of functioning, it does a great job. It has great suction power and the charge LASTS! The swiveling floor head gets into many corners and around furniture legs. Its also been some time since Ive used a vacuum with a light. It really does make a difference!
