Im a hands and knees floor cleaner - do floors get clean any other way? Recently interested in breaking into the knee-saving convenience of a wet-mop-vac. Years ago I tried swif wet jet and tossed it because of doghair and sopping disgusting pads that pushed around dirt. I would have spent much more, but the reviews on more complicated versions/brands always stopped me, so I decided to go basic and inexpensive. I was really averse to something complicated - maybe others are ok with that, my goal was SIMPLE, quick. After the first use, the Shark Hard Floor Vacuum Mop seems to be a very suitable introduction to the concept for me! The vacuum is actually quite adequate for doghair and loose debris in the kitchen. I first vacuumed the entire area prior to spraying (per instructions, not sure how I feel about vacuuming up wet/sprayed debris). One bad thing is that the trigger for the vacuum is under the crook in the handle, so I ended up hitting it A LOT by mistake as I got used to pushing it. The agility and twist is perfect, easy to handle and easy to keep straight on. The accuracy of the spray will take some time to get used to. The Shark VacMop Cleaner did fairly well - I saw streaks and footprints along the way, but as the floor dried they are not noticeable. An annoyance is that these mops are certainly ALL designed to be pushed FORWARD which when using wet, you cant help but leave footprints ... and its nearly impossible not to push back and forth over dirty areas. I accomplished a large kitchen and large bathroom with first use. I used 3 pads and less than a cup of cleaner. Took 15 minutes but I stopped to read directions etc. Im impressed honestly! I think it has potential to be quick, pretty darn thorough, and simple. My intentions are to try white vinegar and water, but the cleaner exceeded my expectations - I only kneeled down to scratch away a dirt spot a few times, and if I sprayed and came back to a spot in a minute or two it got almost everything. [PS my floor was REALLY dirty!] Also worth noting, was the light on the front, it is not super bright but helped see what was in front of the mop. It was impressive in the corners and along baseboards - no complaints (and I will get better at that as I see what works best for me). My recommendation is that if you are looking to try the wetvac concept, and want REALLY SIMPLE, this was well worth the fairly low price I paid. As the unit ages, I will update if I feel any differently. Overall, I believe I will use it (as opposed to something too big and time consuming) and I believe it worked very well for no knees. Price was easy. Its a YESSSSS.

This thing is LEGIT!! My husband bought it for me as a surprise to make my life easier and at first I was skeptical as to wether I needed it. I already had a norwex mop (which I love), a roomba (which I love), and of course, a broom for sweeping in between roomba runs. Uh WOW! This thing makes cleaning up after meals/kids messes easy and fun! The kids love using it to help out and I find myself calling floor duty just so I can use it ;) Pros: -Easily maneuverable -Handy (always on when vacuuming) light for dark spaces (I love lamp light so taking this for a quick spin around the main level with wood floor is easy even when its dark! -Really great at getting everywhere and everything (except obvious big chunks and wet food even a broom would smear/that needs hand picking up. -SO QUICK AND EASY - This seriously is like 10xs faster than a broom. Think about it, there is one motion (forward) and youve cleaned that section of floor, no bending over for dustpan. PLUS, if you mop here and there as needed (I dont use the mop feature all the time because I have littles that could slip and fall, but also, because I have littles this is handy for clean up under the high chair etc before things get built up and need a major moping!) -Easy charge -Good size, not too big and doesnt take up a ton of room in the pantry (I had a swiffer wet jet and this thing is smaller and easier and MUCh more maneuverable. They dont even compare) Cons: -Your con if youre reading this is that YOU DONT HAVE ONE YET. Seriously, this is not a joke review, this is a Mom, who likes to maximaze her time as best she can do she can spend as little time cleaning (but still have a pretty home) and as much time with my kids - and someone who wants to teach her kids to clean as they go as well. So the con for you is that you dont have this. -In all seriousness, one con *could* be that you have to buy pad refills. I maybe use one a week or so, depending on how much I mop with it. I dont mop everyday, so its not a huge deal. If you just use this for the vacuum feature, youd be surprised how long it lasts without needing to be replaced. It holds a lot. So thats a pro, not a con.... BUT if you are an extremely green person and make your life more miserable to save the plannet, then this isnt for you. Go with a broom and a norwex mop. Youll spend a LOT more time in the kitchen, but you wont have the slight extra trash. Your call. So con is that it uses replaceable pads, if you find that a con. But a pro is that you dont have to replace them as much as youd think! For me, time is money, and the time this mopvac saves me is soooo valuable to me! -Con, if you use it for every meal, it might last a few days. Thats not a huge deal and its easy to charge sooooo. not a con to me. - Con, the pads are kind of hard to put back in. Im sure there is a video somewhere I havent looked for, but sometimes I have my husband do it because I cant figure it out. LOL. So thats really the only con for me, but if I really wanted to, I could fix because Im sure if I looked it up, it would be easy. In conclusion. Buy this. Buy it for your spouse, your friend or yourself. Its gold!

First off, I have a Shark Vacuum that has served me exceptionally well for 5 years now. I do take care of it and the fact is for carpet it is outstanding. I wash the filters frequently and replace the filters from time to time when they seem to be less effective. You cannot beat it for carpet. Thank you Shark people! We recently moved to a home that has a conservatory that is carpeted and I have an area rug in the living room. The remainder of the home is hardwood floors and vinyl tile. While having that combination is a great addition to our lives, it does get soiled and needs cleaning with more than a vacuum. I studied the options and decided what is ideal for me. I am in my 70s but not a weakling, however vacuuming (the carpet vacuum cleaner is heavy for me, the wet mopping with a rag mop, and hauling a bucket of water is a huge challenge as I have about 1400 sq ft of hard floors. I wanted a light weight, no fuss alternative and by golly, this Shark light vacuum and wash is most efficient. I went to Shark first because I love the vacuum cleaner I bought 5 years The new Shark Wet/dry mop is a bit more expensive than the other brand on the market. But that is the only comparison with the other brand that the Shark light vac/wet mop does not win. I mean it folks, this light weight battery-operated product is right there ready to go in my kitchen, its easy to use, its efficient and I can clean right when the mess is made with NO HASSLE. I highly recommend it. There is no cord to struggle with, it charges easily in about four hours, and can do about half of the hard floor in my house at a time. Frankly, if you follow the instructions word for word you simply cannot lose. It has no moving parts. The only thing you need to replace are the cleaning pads. They have a built-in vacuum compartment in the pad. You do not have to touch the dirty pads, there is an ejector. There is some critical points stressed in several other reviews that I found easy to avoid: 1. I cant get my whole house done on one charge. Ans: As you learn what works best for you, youll pick up speed. Or if you have a big house, you can plan to do the wet/dry cleaning over several days. 2. I forget to reorder the pads and cleaner. Ans: Use subscribe and save! 3. It leaves streaks of grit or whatever I am cleaning. Ans: Remember that you need to do the dry vac FIRST before you make the pad wet. If your floors are REALLY mingen (Scottish for filthy) you may have to change pads midway in the wet clean. You probably know ahead of time when your floors are extra nasty. Its also easy to take the wet/dry outside and run the pad over concrete to pull off excessive large dirt, hair etc. I also have a lab mix dog and she sheds all year long here in the South. This simple appliance picks up the fur completely on the hard floors. This is neat, lightweight and easily handled.

Pros: -It is quick and easy to use. -It is very light weight -It is cordless and has a really cool magnetic charging adapter -Its good for smaller light jobs or for a quick cleanup like cleaning spills in the kitchen. Cons: -Leaves residue behind -Uses very expensive cleaner and pads really fast -Spreads dirt around -Mediocre vacuum Details: If you are are obsessed with clean floors you might not be thrilled with this product. Imagine how a sponge mop would work. As you make a pass with the mop you put the business end in the bucket to clean off the sponge. Then you ring it out to squeeze out excess water and soap. But here you have a cleaning pad that collects dirt as you go. On your first pass it gets really dirty and continues to get even dirtier with every pass. It spreads dirt around and leaves a residue behind. I went through 3 pads just cleaning a 200 sq ft area at my front door. So having used this the first time my observation is that you go through the cleaner really fast. They give you enough cleaner to fill the reservoir one time, which is about 1 liter. I used the whole thing in only 200 sq ft! The cleaning solution is not a concentrate that you add water to, instead, you just pour the whole thing in. A replacement bottle costs 10.00 for 2 liters. I only did my front entry way. So if I want to clean my dining room, kitchen, laundry room, bathrooms, and hallways this will get very expensive very fast. The vacuum was ok. I recommend vacuuming the area first with a vacuum cleaner if there is a lot of debris. This is kind like carpet shampooer, it is not vacuum cleaner but will vacuum up most of the cleaning solution. A minor issue was that I had no instructions included with mine, and that shouldnt happen. I used a search engine and found the instructions document on Sharks website. The first thing I saw when I looked at them is a message to read all instructions before using this product. If thats important then it is pretty lame to not include them. This unit is clearly designed to sell pads and cleaning solution. There is no reason why they should not be able to sell you a concentrate that you mix with water in a 1 liter bottle. It would also be better if the cleaning pads were reusable. Like put them in a washing machine and reuse them instead of filling up landfills with more plastic.

Very unlike Amazon, this vacuum arrived in a makeshift cardboard box that said Walmart on the outside. The product didnt fit well but they crammed it in. When I lifted it out, I thought it was a toy. Fast-forward and Ive used it every day for 2 weeks and I have to admit that I love it. I dont love having to buy the refill pads but Ive been buying Swiffer pads for years and these are much more versatile. I dont have great expectations for the lifetime of this little toy, but I still wouldnt want to give it up.

I love the suction is powerful, clean the hardwood floors amazingly great. The only sad part is the bag for trash is very little. It gets full very quick.

We sure didnt expect to get the mighty mouse effort out of this little thing, we did get. Nice job, doesnt take up much space, power last pretty long time without recharging. My daughter likes it so much, she wants to buy another. I will say we used a water/vinegar combo. to better finish than the actual cleaner from Shark. But that is just our floors and our opinion. Great little appliance!

Can’t say enough about the Shark VacMop! It’s got great suction power, excellent capacity for collecting all the little stuff that makes your floors look dirty. For spot cleaning it can’t be beat. I use mine multiple times throughout the day and enjoy vacuuming as a result. No longer do we even try to prevent crumbs from falling to the floor since it’s so gratifying to run around with the VacMop! I can vacuum the entire 2000sq.ft. Main floor of my house on one charge. It’s most fun picking up cat dander and dog fur/hair, styrofoam pieces and broken silica pack contents, but will also suck up a pistachio shell … and unlike a traditional vacuum cleaner, it won’t spit anything back! Excellent for floors with any topography like natural slate or large grout-lines tile and perfect for hand-scraped wood floors! I’m mad for it and have bought dozens for friends for housewarming and birthday gifts.

Good product for post dinner kitchen floor cleaning.. Really like the wet/dry combo. It is low capacity for dry stuff, but if you are creating such a big mess on the floor during cooking, I suggest you see a therapist :)
