> 3 dayPRODUCT NAME AND IDENTIFICATION NAME: Shonsin 16 Gauge Wire (25ft Red and 25ft Black) Ultra Flexible Silicone ASIN: B085HX8W5X QUICK OVERVIEW On a Scale of 1 to 10 where 10 is the best. --FUNCTION (10 of 10): Very flexible and easy to bend. --FIT, FINISH, QUALITY (10 of 10): Everything is top notch. --TECHNICAL (10 of 10): All copper wire, but not tinned. OVERALL RATING: 10 DETAILED REVIEW Overview It’s wire, right? Not so fast. There is a lot of wire being sold on Amazon that looks copper, but is actually copper clad aluminum wire (CCA). Pure copper is what you want, unless you are sure aluminum (CCA) can work for your application. This is pure copper stranded wire in a very supple and bendable silicon insulation. I’m using it for multimeter leads and other electronics applications. This wire is not “tinned” which means it not protected from oxidation with a thin film of tin coating. In most applications, you don’t need tinned wire. It’s more expensive, and if you don’t need it, don’t spend the extra money on it. Tinned copper wire is just as conductive as bare copper wire, but resist corrosion. If you are not using it for applications where the copper is exposed to acidic soil, high heat, or high humidity, non-tinned copper is cheaper and will be fine. You can test to see if wire is CCA by rubbing it on a piece of fine sandpaper (1500 grit), and if it is CCA, you will get a silver rub mark from the aluminum wire on the sandpaper. Just make sure you rub enough to get through the CCA itself, down into the copper wire. This wire is definitely copper. CONCLUSION AND FINAL THOUGHTS This product met exceeded my expectations. There really isn’t much more to say. When looking for silicon insulated wire, and wire in general, you want to make sure you are getting pure copper wire, not Copper Clad Aluminum wire (CCA). Also, the suppleness of the silicon, how well it bends, is important. This product passed all my tests and is high quality wire.

Greater than one weekThe wire is great, very flexible and meets expectations. I would like it better if it were tinned, however it doesnt claim to be. I am using this for a BMS with LiFePO4 cells, and use two runs to carry up to 150 amps. Due to the design of the JBD BMS, the cables need to be very flexible, and this does the job.

> 3 dayThis 8 gauge wire is very flexible and great for doing car battery charger hook-ups, or adding car circuits, or even possibly using it for grounding kits. Also would work for most power stereo hook-ups. Nicely sized and priced if you just need a few feet! For a one-off wiring project for your car/RV this stuff works great! Buy it!

> 3 dayWanted to et the best possible wire for a decent price. Needed a short run since my battery is in the trunk near the amp. This is exceptional wire, easy to work with, and not inferior like CCA or even lesser grades of OFC.
