i have the same complain for this mike as well. they are two small than expected. i have ordered two microphones of regular size but they came out smaller than they actually should be.

I had to buy these because I had misplaced my Sennheisers! :( (but found them months later :D) The first time I used it I had issues with the on/off switch shorting out. Someone had told me to never by the Shures with a switch. The sound quality was not as awesome as my Sennheiser but was okay enough for the price. Ill tell you what though...I got a Shure Classic Super 55 for Christmas and IT ROCKS!! I would say that if you want a decent quality for a fair price, get this but without the on/off switch.

Good mic, I would just say the cable that comes with it is very small and short and I know it will break soon since I use it in show. But still a great product in my opinion!

I needed a microphone to interview attendees at an event that I was going to work. After researching several microphones I decided to go with the Shure SM58. Let me start by saying that this microphone is a an interviewers dream. The sound is crisp and clear. There is no handling noise to speak of and the build quality is top of the line. You should ahold it about 6 inches or so from your subject to guarantee clear audio. There is no need to use phantom power for this mic so it saves battery life if youre using a pre-amp or have it connected to an XLR input on a professional camcorder. I hooked this baby up to my Beachtek Pure pre-amp and was off and running. I would recommend this microphone to any who asks.
