> 3 dayPurchased to replace silicone strainers with holes too big to catch all but the largest particles and a lip that prevented the sink from draining completely, and the plastic ones that worked but cracked and wore out every couple of months. The mesh on these strainers is fine enough to catch tiny particles and sturdy enough to sustain multiple daily sharp taps to empty into the compost bin. I expect these to last for a very long time providing they dont rust which I see no signs of happening.

A. I guess it depends on the size of the opening? I do not have a garbage disposal. But it fits nicely in my regular kitchen drain.

4.Q: Has anyone tried it for catching hair? I wash my hair in the sink, and haven’t found one, other than mesh. I need tiny holes.
A :It should would work for straining hair. I used it to pour discarded water from my portable carpet cleaning machine and it held lots of dog hair. Very convenient with attached handle and comes in a package of two. Great buy!
