> 3 dayThe Gold P31 1TB NVMe caused a conflict with my laptop ACPI battery management. I have an LG Gram 17 (17Z90N) and after approx. 2 months I noticed that my battery charge status would not update. I contacted SK hynix for technical support and didnt even receive a response. I replaced the Gold P31 with a Samsung 970 EBO Plus which is working flawlessly. My 3 start rating for the P31 is base on the following:

> 3 dayInstalled this 2TB as system drive in a Dell G7 17 laptop, replacing the original Hynix PC611 1TB NVMe, to get some more storage space (a WD SN550 2TB is already installed in the second M.2 slot). This 2TB runs a bit faster than the old 1TB Hynix but it also runs hotter. The old Hynix would idle at around 30C but the new 2TB idles around 40C. Has the same original heat shield/heat sink installed. But even the other WD 2TB with a heat shield heats up to about 59C with just a sustained read, so Im not too concerned about the rise in temperature as Im not playing games much, apart from Microsoft Flight Simulator now and again. It was an easy install as I used the Hynix System Migration Utility software (free download from their site) and it copied over the C & D partitions without a hitch. What did happen unfortunately was that after the clone install, the second NVMe (WD) suddenly had Bitlocker applied and I needed to get into Microsoft account to retrieve the 48 digit key to unlock it every time I rebooted! What a pain, and very strange as I have Windows 11 Home version which doesnt support Bitlocker! Took a bit of research but eventually got it removed. Early days, but it looks like the drive is very good, so recommended if you can still source one.

> 3 dayThis is a really good drive from a reputable maker. Gen 3 drives are a much better value at this time and unless you were doing heavy video editing or the like you wouldnt notice the difference in speeds from Gen 3 to Gen 4, especially for gaming.

> 3 dayEasy to install on my MSI B550 pro-vdh motherboard. Upgraded from a HDD to this and the load time were so much faster. Especially happy about the free data migration tool you can download on their website that made cloning my drive/OS without any issues. Would definitely recommend.

> 3 dayExcellent speed at an excellent price point. This is a perfect option for a laptop or desktop NVMe storage upgrade, whether you game, create content, or if you just want a computer that feels quick again.
