19-11-2024I bought this SSD to upgrade my DELL Laptop which came with a 256 GB SK hynix BC501 SSD. The NEW SSD is about 2x as fast READ & 4+x as fast WRITE. In addition to upping my storage by 4x (256GB to 1 TB), the new drive is SO MUCH FASTER, it ha really un-bottlenecked my 2018 Laptop performance. Great value at a great price!

> 3 dayThis drive is extremely reliable, fast, and fairly cheap especially when it goes on sales often. If you are on the fence dont go for the cheaper drives as they swap components and you dont get near rated speeds. SK hynix on the other hand uses in house components and is reliable. My 1tb drive is still at 100% health with 3500 hours clocked on it

> 3 dayIve added some speed tests compared to a Samsung 980 Pro. The SK is slightly slower but for the price difference, its definitely comparable. Keep in mind that Samsung is capable of PCIe 4.0 and if you have that capability the Samsung is a better deal as it will run closer to 7000 and not 3500 Mbs for $40 more. Once I upgrade my processor the Samsung is gonna leave the SK in the dust but it is still plenty fast for my D: drive stuff and for a Pcie 3 drive its really fast. I tested both drives with Crystal Mark and Samsung Magician with similar results.
