Greater than one weekA lot of people have no idea who SK Hynix is and think they sprang up over night. In the past they didn’t manufacture and sell products to general consumers. They were active with OEM manufacturing and there’s a good chance the DRAM you’ve used in the past was made by SK Hynix. SK Hynix is the worlds second largest memory chipmaker and the worlds third largest semiconductor company. Their headquarters is in South Korea.

> 3 dayInstalled in my HP Omen 15 (it has a spare slot for another M2) Plays the games off it quickly, very happy with purchase. Does not come with a screw to secure it, but the Laptop already had one in place to use. Do not see any heat issues from adding it. Got it on sale but would have been a good purchase even at full price. Hynix has been around quite some time and I have bought many SODIMMs and DIMMs from them in the past with out issue. Two thumbs up!

> 3 dayTech reviews have this SSD as the best bang for your buck for a gen 3. The only complaint I have is the not-so-great heatsink, it felt like a sticker and not an aluminum heat spreader.

> 3 dayI was running out of space installing games on my boot drive which is a 1TB P41 Platinum Sk Hynix. I really enjoyed the performance but wanted more space as I plan to install more games. For $149.99 plus tax it met all the right criteria. I could have gone for a cheap Kingston 2TB drive for $40 less but I liked the warranty and performance from these SK Hynix drives. I didnt need the extreme performance of the P41 so I went with the P31 instead. Install took all of two minutes. Booted up, formatted the drive and turned off write caching and indexing. Moved my entire Steam library of around 600 GB in roughly 5-10 minutes. Drive temps never exceeded 71C which is well below the thermal limit of 84C. I did not install a heatsink. Apparently, it does really well with idle power draw on laptops according to reviews I have read. SK Hynix has done a commendable job with their 1st party drives. Im excited to see what they come up with the move to Gen 5 PCIE nvme drives.

Greater than one weekThis NVME SSD runs cool without needing any heatsink. I have installed in my Thinkpad E14, and it runs 39% idle and 55% at full load. Highly recommended!
