I installed this into an Asus Z590-E gaming motherboards M.2 4x4 slot and it works great. I also have a WD and Samsung 3x4 also installed on this motherboard and this SK hynix is nearly twice as fast on some of the benchmarks. The SK Hynix monitoring software isnt as flashy as other competitors but it provides all the information I need to monitor the drives health. Overall its great drive for the price.

M2 drives are a bit more work to install, but worth it. The P41 is the fastest SSD available until the PCIe 5 drives come out. Perfectly compatible with ASUS Strix Z790 motherboard. Great price on Amazon too.

Install was easy on z790 e gaming stix motherboard. Dont need a heatsink with that motherboard as it comes with its own cooling solution. Make sure to read your motherboard guide on adding ssds as some reccomeded to add an extra thermal pad.

This seems to perform very well however it get H-O-T! I ended up buying substantial heatsink to remedy that. I wish that I couldve just bought a configuration that came with the heatsink.

Just built a watercooled MSI Carbon black MB EKWB not sure why the write speed and random read write is so much lower.

I bought the 2 TB to install in my PS5. At $170 it offers excellent performance to value and beats out the competition. The SK hynix Platinum P41 doesnt come with a heatsink, but Playstation advises you install the SSD with a heatsink. The MHQJRH thats sold on Amazon for $10 fits perfectly with this SSD and the PS5. I was hesitant but after watching a couple quick videos online, installation was actually easy and took less than 30 minutes (to watch and then to install). This SSD is fast. I moved 225 GB of games to it in 3 minutes.

This is really fast added the be quiet! BZ003 MC1 Pro M.2 SSD Cooler to it and stays around 41c but I dont game with it so my be just overkill but over double the speed of my Samsung 960 evo 500gb. for the price and pcie 4.0x4 from other benchmarks this seems to have a better i/o in testing . Only day 1 of the install so time will tell and update later

If its only 1.8TB of usable storage, it shouldnt be sold as a 2TB drive. Companies have been doing this for ages, it still is wrong in my opinion. Another frustrating thing about this drive (and several competitors, Sabrent did include it though) is a complete lack of mounting hardware. A tiny screw and a simple motherboard insert would cost them 10 cents to include, if that.. The hole is the same size on almost every motherboard. Ive swapped the insert between ASUS/MSI/EVGA boards without issue. If theyre worried about the size, include a few different sets. Its pretty reasonable to expect some mounting hardware for a product this expensive. Luckily I keep a jar of screws and found a set that fit, something I doubt most people have or do. Another thing is, dont expect anywhere close to 7GB/s in real performance. Moving/writing files from one gen 4 PCI-e nvme to this one, lucky to get around 150MB/s moving smaller files, closer to 250MB/s with large files (in excess of 1GB). & yes thats BYTES and not BITS (1 byte=8 bits, MB=Megabyte and Mb=Megabit) Speed tests are not an accurate representation of real world use drive performance (which is the reason it says Up to 7,000MB/s) Regardless, this is a decent drive and the performance is what Id expect out of a 4th Gen drive. As a network engineer, the advertising is just misleading. When Im working with data center scale environments exceeding the petabyte range, working with NetApp filers weighing 300LB filled with drives, the sales people arent trying to jip you over a few GB. Theyre sold and advertised with the usable storage and speeds....
