Was looking for a good SSD storage to upgrade my PS5. I had my doubts, especially with how cheap this was (at least at the time of purchase). However, it was worked surprisingly great! The transfer speed is the real sinker though, only took about a minute to move all my existing games to this storage. Id honestly come back to this company if I ever need to upgrade another storage.

Its a PCIe 4.0 drive from a tech-dominant company... not shocking to see high speeds from this product. But, I do noticed a few things that are important to professional usage: > The ability to translate regular files into thumbnails (images) is incredible - almost instantaneous. Normally, I dont see an instant translation on the first use - very important for CAD and CAE files that take advantage of Windows thumbnail viewing. > Load time for CAD (i.e., Solidworks, Solid Edge) is much more fluent with larger assemblies - which most users dont care about (compared to Samsung 980 pro). If you use mechanical drives at this point - shame on you? > Opening video, music, and photos is a noticeable reward with this SSD (small file cache and multitasking is fabulous) > If you have an extensive movie or music library this drive is premium (small file handling) with crazy speed - helps with file conversions and compression/decompression. > Windows 10 load time has many factors - but this drive shaved 5 seconds from my previous SSD (total = 7 seconds). Yes, Im greedy, bias, and easily spoiled by advanced technology.

This p41 is the fastest ssd nvme in Korea. Few youtuber tested samsung 980 ssd nvme vs p41. The winner is p41. Hynix P41 is fastest ssd in the world.

The P41 is the ideal choice for workstation builds and PC gamers alike. It may run warm during normal use without a heat sink, but it does not thermal throttle at intense loads. SK Hynix provides an incredibly value-oriented SSD (high performance-to-cost ratio). For example, this P41 is priced under slower SATA III-based SSDs. The P41 is suitable for the OS drive where you install your OS like Windows II because it boots up very fast and can support features like Direct Storage. This drive is great for people who want the fastest gaming load times like in Genshin Impact or Minecraft RTX. Pro tip: research if your motherboard or laptop model can support PCIe 4.0 and then use this drive instead of the OEM SSDs for a convenient upgrade. Overall, SK Hynix provided an insane bargain for consumers by introducing their P41 line. *Please note I had installed the P41 right behind a 3080 Ti and was loading Genshin Impact, so the temperature had a variance in HWiNFO

I use this drive for my games, and it is a very quick drive with a great price per GB and a warranty that meets or exceeds the competition. Theres a reason its highly rated by all the reputable review sites. The only downside is that SK Hynix doesnt have a robust software suite like Samsung does with Samsung Magician, but the price is much lower and speeds higher, which is a great tradeoff.

Everything has been said already about this drive, so I figure I can focus on my application. I have installed this P41 into a Lenovo Thinkpad T14s AMD Gen3 that sports an NVMe Gen4 connector. At time that I ordered this laptop, the 1TB upgrade from Lenovo is about $400 dollars. I reckoned I can do better than that and opted for the least expensive option, the 256GB drive, with plans to upgrade later via third party. One month later, I upgraded to the P41 that costs $104.99. As shown in the snapshot, the P41 can read 7059MB/s when plugged in to the power supply. Temps reached 75 degrees Celsius while running the benchmark. On battery power and conservative settings, it can reach 3500 MB/s read, which is not too bad, considering that it is equal to the speed of NVME Gen 3. Idle temps is about 49 degrees C. YMMV, and be sure that your system has an NVME Gen4 connector to achieve full performance.

One thing to note is that a screw is NOT included for installation. If you purchase this as storage expansion for a laptop, you will likely need to purchase the M2x2 screw separately (if it wasnt included). In my case, I have a Dell Precision 5550 which did not come with a second storage card already installed. When I opened it up to put this new card in, I discovered that not only does Dell NOT provide a screw to mount the card, but the thermal bracket is also not included. So, I had to purchase the thermal bracket separately as well. Luckily, there are a couple of options for those here on Amazon that also include the required screw. All that was learned through trial because Dell does not provide that information. Hopefully this helps anyone else looking to to expand their storage in a Dell laptop. Both Dell and/or SK Hynix could have provided the cheap screw with their products, but chose not to. Neither was very helpful in figuring this out.

Its hard to argue against Hynix, unless Samsung is having a crazy sale. Even then, you know enthusiast-grade Hynix products arent junk. But I wasnt expecting this to put my venerable 980 Pro to bed. On a lark, I bought two 2TB drives during Amazons Black Friday sale, and my only regret is not buying three. The read speed is neck and neck with the 980 Pro, but the write speed is nearly 2,000 MB/s faster. Thats jaw-dropping. You can see the results in the attached image. Thats on a secondary drive in an MSI Z690 Pro board with no heatsink at all. Not an enthusiast board. Not active cooling. Not even passive cooling (besides the Hynix sticker). Nothing crazy. And just over 7,100 read / 6,700 write is impressive at an enthusiast-grade price. Even a regular price. But at the bargain basement price these were going for? I almost feel like a thief!
