This item requires download of external app, and I was not comfortable with information requested for its use. I tried for over an hour to link to Amazon without success.

The receptacle keeps losing its internet connection. So my light keeps going off and on.

It works as described! I used Google Assistant to setup these plugs, & it was seamless. The lights behind my bed were too difficult to reach & turn off every night, this fixed the problem! I Iike that you can control both sides of the plug with 2 different commands. So you essentially get 4 plugs. The price was much more affordable than most plugs like this, so I was a bit skeptical. But Im very happy with them!!

The paper that comes with this tells you to download Our app but does not tell you which app it is. tried three different apps that might be related to this smart plug. App 1 couldnt connect to Alexa. App 2 couldnt find the plugs. App 3 could connect to alexa and could find the plugs but after three hours of troubleshooting I still couldnt get the plugs to connect to alexa via the app. I no longer care. Im throwing them away. waste of time and money.

Product was easy to install, and I especially like the ability to utilize each plug independently. Had a power outage last night and plugs were still connected when the power returned. Alexa skills were added after installing and adding the outlets to the Smart Life app, making the plugs easy to operate by Alexas voice command feature. These also require 2.4 Ghz Wifi as most smart home products do. Very pleased with this item and I will be purchasing more of these items as the need arises.

I ordered this product because the images showed the product safety Listing Marks of Underwriters Laboratories and ETL. That should have been my first clue. Nobody gets both. When the product arrived, it had no such markings. The description says its safe to use and it may be, but without those markings, if it is found to be the cause of the fire that burned your house down, your insurance will not pay because it didnt meet the user requirements of the National Electrical Code which says that appliances must be certified or Listed with a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (UL and ETL are both NRTLs). One reason why Chinese-made products are often so inexpensive is that they neglect to get those certifications. They are not required to, but you, as a user, are required to have them, so you have to buy products that do have them. Granted, they probably wont burn your house down - but what if they do? I used to get those certifications for the products my employer manufactured, so Im not entirely in the dark on this matter. Its a very time-consuming, costly, and rigorous process that no manufacturer likes to spend money on, but responsible ones do it anyway. Im returning them and looking for better ones.

Such an easy setup and works with an existing app I have. Love that its 2 plugs but only takes up one spot. And yes, they are controlled separately.
