I can tell when it takes orders out the air such as smoke a serve this purpose. Well.

After around 20 hours of use the air filter began causing a clicking noise that goes away when the filter is removed. The charcoal filter has a layer of black dust on the outside. Not recommended.

I saw a review or 2 talking about the white filter having mold on it. Funny thing is, when you open your charcoal filter first then open the white filter, youll get a little black dust on the white filter from your fingers.

Purchased enough to go in 3 Winix-5500-2 air purifiers, 2 was perfect fitting & no noise, I fit perfect but makes some noise. I would purchase again.

I wasnt sure when I ordered because some people said they were too small and others didnt, but truth be told... THESE ARE SMALLER! Anyone saying they fit Winix 2 great is full of it. There is a gap at the top and they fall out as youre trying to keep them in place to close it in. On top of not fitting, they have an awful chemical smell. Because I needed this asap I thought Id just give it a try, but I dont like that the filter isnt a secure fit, and the smell doesnt go away after letting it run. Not worth it.
