> 24 hourThis is an excellent carabiner to be used for fall protection and other rope applications. This would be good for rock climbing, arboriculture, high-and low-angle rope rescue, construction, and/or industrial rope work (as examples). Based on the stampings on the body, these carabiners have major axis strength of 28 kN, a minor axis strength of 7 kN, and a gate open strength of 7kN. Given those ratings, this is a good piece of safety equipment. If you are looking for carabiners to hang your water bottle off your pack, these tools are overkill and significantly stronger than you need. However, if you looking for functional safety equipment that could save your life, these are the types of carabiners you should consider.

> 24 hourThis is a very well made clip. I have not seen any deformities after load bearing (my personal safety rule is to never exceed ,70 of rated weight capacity). These are great for use around ok around the house, garage and campsite.

> 24 hourThis is the ultimate Carabiner for so many uses in general--and perfect for my specific use with my Resistance Band workouts. I have a variety of different size carabiners for use with resistance bands; some that came with the sets (small and nowhere near as strong) and others that were bought separately. This is the biggest and best of all and can easily be used when combining several tubes or bands together. In addition, it can fit, (flat, with no twisting of the band) the thickest, heaviest resistance band I have, which is 2 wide--and using this carabiner is so much easier than the usual method of wrapping or looping the band around the door anchor. The last pic shows the different sizes I use for different purposes, with the one Im reviewing in the center for comparison. In addition, it has a great single twist locking mechanism that is so much easier to use than, for instance, the black one on top in the last pic, which uses a screw tightening mechanism. Thats ok but its a bit of a pain to use. The lock on this one is very secure and the rated weight load, although WAY more than I need for my main use of it, is very welcome should I need it for any of the other many places this can be used as stated in the info given on the Amazon product page. Great carabiner, recommended.

> 24 hourYou never really want to cheap out with climbing equipment, right? Its been about a decade since Ive climbed and am considering getting back into it. These are light weight, lock well, seem comparable to other brand name climbing carabiners I have. However, one of them appears to have a dent on arrival (see photo). Will this affect the safety of the biner if you fall climbing? I dont know. Probably not, but? Maybe someone who knows a little more than me can answer that.

> 24 hourJust got my carabiners and they are stout. Comparable in price to some of the most expensive ones I own. Great value for the price and Im very happy. The gates open and close smoothly, and the locking screw moves with minimal effort, although there is some resistance so it wont giggle open. Great piece of gear!

> 24 hourI dont know why Im so hard on carabiners, but for whatever reason I seem to damage or lose them so Im always on the lookout for decent quality (ANSI rated) ones. These look and feel like they are properly made, though I havent tried to break them like the YT channel HowNot2Highline (where they test and break every piece of gear.

> 24 hourI will never come close to testing the limit of these carabiners. They are large and plenty strong for anything I may use them for, which will not include rock climbing. One thing to note: the listing claims that these are twist-lock, and all but the D-shape star gray version do appear in the images to be just that. The D-shape star gray is actually a threaded lock, requiring the orange knurled section to be rotated a few full turns to lock or unlock the latch. They are NOT quick twistlock as described. I personally dont care about this, but some people might.

> 24 hourThe only drawback that keeps these from perfection is the goop. It’s lubricated a little too much and instantly got my fingers messy. The colors are REALLY cool too. Feels like these could hold an elephant. I am very pleased with these and you will be too. Just pack some wet wipes.

> 24 hourThis carabiner is definitely large and I wouldnt use this as a keychain, its just too big. I can see myself using it to hold heavy items for sure. I use a smaller carabiner for my keys and its just perfect. The locking mechanism is nice as Im able to use one hand to lock and unlock the carabiner.

> 24 hourGreat carabiners. Will buy them again. Great material, construction and price. Although it is mentioned in the description that they are big, yes they are. Bigger than the regular ones. But worth the price and material.
