From my research on a few different forums and reading reviews I trust, this was the best Zigbee gateway for Home Assistant. It works. I have no issues to report.

Zigbee2mqtt works from the box without any uploading of a firmware.

Get rid of all those cloud based devices and get this! Paired with HomeAssistant, you can do amazing things!

I flashed the device with Zigbee2MQTT coordinator firmware and wrote some MQTT JavaScript code to control and monitor a few devices with no issues. HomeAssistant apparently also works, but I havent tried that yet.

This has been reliable for me. I use a lot of zigbee devices with a home automation server.

This is my second Zigbee adapter. Its working exactly as advertised and I am a happy camper. This one is Base on TI CC2652P + CP2102N The listing CLEARLY STATES Can use ZHA in Home Assistant or use Zigbee2MQTT The first one with the exact same name from a different vendor and a different chip was a huge dissappointment. Now I have to shlep the damn thing to the USP store to get my money back. The first one had the EXACT SAME NAME in almost the exact same box. I suspect counterfit(ish). It did work with one of my devices but many it did not. The important thing to know boys and girls about Zigbee adapters, some chips work well and some do not work well with Zigbee Home Assistant. Look for Base on TI CC2652P + CP2102N AVOID -->>Base on EFR32MG21 + CH9102F If this matters to you. IMneverHO :-)

I was migrating from an old HUSBZB stick, on my Home Assistant RPi, mainly to get newer Zigbee 3.0 functionality. There is a process to migrate your current Zigbee infrastructure to the new stick fairly easily (HA is working on improving this process) which went smoothly. There were no additional drivers to install and the device was immediately visible in /dev/serial/by-id/. I have had the device installed for about a month now, and have had only one issue of my own making (below). The only complaint I have is due to the size of the stick, it over hangs the USB port it is connected to a little bit. You may need a small USB extension cable (USB-A male to USB-A female) to accommodate this stick if there are other USB devices plugged into your RPi. If you use a USB extension, be sure to securely fasten it, as the cable wiggling can cause it to disconnect from the RPi. If this happens (as it did to me), simply reseat the cable into the RPi, and the stick into the cable. Then restart HA to ensure it loads the ZHA plugin correctly.

So I was using another Zigbee controller for my zigbee network, it was laggy, rarely passed through to the Home Assistant server without messing with it for about 5 minutes. Then I purchased this one. Passthrough is flawless every time the machine boots, the control is much faster than my previous and I would recommend this to anyone getting into home automation.

I am using this stick on a Windows 11 mini-computer running a Home Assistant VM setup. It works flawlessly. It picks up devices pretty far away from the stick as long as you have it plugged into a USB extension cable to reduce interference from the computer. Home Assistant immediately picked up the stick and configured it with no problems. Im very happy with this purchase.

I want to try some ZigBee products so a ZigBee radio is necessary. Easy install to Home Assistant 8.1.Added a temp sensor, all works fine.
