Greater than one weekI got these as a gift for myself almost a month ago. I had a coworker who had the XM4s and I was impressed, so I got the XM5s after doing research and finding that the noise cancellation is better than the previous generations. Based on what I remember from years ago it FEELS like the noise cancellation is about the same. What I love about the headphones is that you can FEEL the noise being cancelled. It feels like your head is in a vacuum (not a vacuum cleaner, but a vacuum of space). And thats what I bought these for. Ive had no issues with the controls, app, or connectivity. I do wish there was more bass, but also thats not the selling point for these. The equalizer in the app has a preset bass boost setting which helps.

> 3 daySo I did tests on several different headphones, Sony, Audio Technica, Bose, Apple, etc. Noice cancelation, sound quality, weight, comfort, you name it the mark V comes out on top. Even being more inclined to buy Apple, I still felt there were more pros for the Sonys than the AP Max.

> 3 dayI came from using Airpods pros to these and the difference in noise cancellation is night and day. Especially when music is playing you cannot hear a thing in the background. The transparency mode is decent, but my voice sounds a bit weird when I talk while its on. Otherwise these are super light and very comfortable at the gym as well, highly recommend

> 3 dayIf youre going to be wearing these headphones for many hours, then this is a bad choice. After 1 hour of work, the head and ears begin to hurt.

> 3 dayDid not provide the advertised battery life - The headphones with a full charge lasted at best 3 hours under constant use for video calls. Unacceptable. Sound quality was amazing though.

> 3 dayGreat headphones. I like them a lot and think they are great. A little overpriced yet worth it if you listen to music a lot. I gave it a 4 because it has a little too much bass. Better than Bose headphones though.

> 3 dayNot as intuitively easy to use as Bose. Couldn’t really discern much “noise canceling “ functionality

> 3 dayi really like the way that they fit on my head, it’s just really light and comfortable to wear for hours at a time unlike other headphones i’ve used that start to hurt after 30 minutes of wearing them so i’d you are thinking about these i would highly recommend them for anyone!!!

> 3 dayI have had these for a month and they cannot play a full song without shutting off. I have disabled the auto off function and still, at times they can play for a matter of seconds before shutting off. This is my second bad experience with Sony. I will never recommend these or any other Sony device to anyone. For $400 they should be able to play uninterrupted for hours. What a waste.

> 3 dayI used AirPods for so long and while I still use mine occasionally for this or that, I wouldn’t give up these headphones for anything. We’re these a necessity..no. But has my life gotten better since getting them? Yes! The noise cancellation is amazing and the sound quality is great! And in the app you can customize the audio to your liking and your surroundings. They are expensive, but how can they not be. They are great. If your looking to treat yourself, this is a good option.
