Greater than one weekThe casing was battered as if it had been previously returned by another user and then sent to me. It cannot be used because of the appearance.

> 3 dayEverything arrived as described in a very well padded container. I followed the instructions from a YouTube video with no issues. I was able to lift the cracked screen off with very little breakage. Installed the new screen and reassembled the iPad but the adhesive. Turned the iPad on but swiping would not work. I finally tried it vertical (camera at the bottom), the bottom two keyboard rows would work but not the top. I was able to swipe to the iPad but touching any app symbol would not work. Took it apart and tried reassembling it with the same results. Not sure if I did something wrong….. will try another screen. UPDATE: Second screen arrive today. Tried reinstalling the old severely cracked screen - no luck there. Tried the new screen with the same results. Something else must have gone wrong with the iPad. UPDATE - I have updated the original 3 stars to 5 stars because of the prompt response by sellers and their suggestions for troubleshooting along with the willingness to make it right.

Greater than one weekI had an old iPad 2 sitting around that had a badly damaged screen. This kit was perfect, just check your model number and make sure to order the correct one. I highly recommend watching any of the several YouTube videos on how to replace your screen - and even narrowing that down to a video regarding your specific model is a good idea. There are a couple of places you have to be very careful when removing the old screen and those places change with different models. You do NOT need a heat gun - a hair dyer worked great for me and is probably a safer bet than a heat gun in the first place. Oh, why fix that old thing in the first place? Well, I keep and use all of my old iPhones and iPads. For instance, I have a drone with a 3D headset, and an old iPhone is permanently assigned to that task. An old iPad mounted in the car does nothing but play music, and an old iPad is doing the same thing in the boat. Just sync em occasionally with iTunes and youve got the same music and playlists on all of them.
