> 3 dayNot what they used to be... The product is as pictured, not as described. The old square headed, made in USA nail sets are, unfortunately, a thing of the past. Chinese knockoffs abound. After returning these ( I bought a few sets, as other carpenters were always coveting mine ) I attempted purchasing them from the Home Despot, with no joy. Returned those also. Then contacted several other suppliers, who were not even aware of the product change Stanley had pulled, only to find that the square heads are simply not available. Only recourse if you demand the real item is to search for old stock. If minus 5 stars was possible, thats what Stanley would get on this one. I have to agree with Cliff, The only current quality product is the Starett. ( Still made in USA !! )

> 3 dayAs a 15 year carpenter in my honest opinion a Nail Set is a Nail Set. Us, Pros use it to ensure a quality product. Stanley once again delivers a quality tool at a reasonable price. That is why I have made the purchase and have added it to my new apprentices arsenal.

Greater than one weekWorks great for setting nails below the surface of the wood. I keep this set in my toolbelt so its always there when I need it.

> 3 dayIf I were going to buy nail setters for professional work, I would want the ones with larger more ergonomic handles, with a bright color that makes them easier to see if dropped on a job site. For doing work in a garage, or projects around the house that occasionally require a nail set or punch, this set is a great value. Ive been using them every so often for the last 2 years or so, and I have no complaints considering it was ~$8 for a set of 3. The impact from hammer blows is properly transferred to the tip; you wont sting the hand holding the set. They are also made of good quality metal; one of them has been used fairly extensively, but the metal hasnt chipped or deformed at all.

18-11-2024Replaced my old nail sets. These are heavy-duty steel and will hold up well. Not sure how theyre be with rust, but even if they do, it wont affect performance. They arent as light as what I had, but theyre steel, so thats to be expected.

> 3 dayHard to screw these up. They are quite a bit harder than the set I bought at Harbor Freight. No distortion so far. These double up as burnishers for my card scraper. Other sets Ive used have plastic sleeves to use for holding/shock-absorption. That doesnt matter. The sleeves just fall off anyway.
