The name says it all. A trusted brand in your tool bag puts the rewards of your labor in your pocket. A must to fine tune/finish a build.

Just needed them to take out the hinges off a door. Worked pretty well.

They have rusted in very short time. They slip off the nail heads easier than I like. But they are good tools.

Not what they used to be... The product is as pictured, not as described. The old square headed, made in USA nail sets are, unfortunately, a thing of the past. Chinese knockoffs abound. After returning these ( I bought a few sets, as other carpenters were always coveting mine ) I attempted purchasing them from the Home Despot, with no joy. Returned those also. Then contacted several other suppliers, who were not even aware of the product change Stanley had pulled, only to find that the square heads are simply not available. Only recourse if you demand the real item is to search for old stock. If minus 5 stars was possible, thats what Stanley would get on this one. I have to agree with Cliff, The only current quality product is the Starett. ( Still made in USA !! )

I bought this nail setter set to replace one Ive had for years and have lost somewhere. I used the largest and smallest ones from this set on a project and by the end of the day, setting a total of about 50 nails, both the largest and smallest had began to mushroom out on the tip. I remember when Stanley was a respectable brand for DIYers but obviously that is no longer the case. If you plan to use your nail setters more than once then look somewhere else.

I recently pulled up all the carpet in my home in order to redo the hardwood floor underneath. It is around 80 years old and has a ton of nails and staples in it. The staples were easy to pull out but there are so many nails that the wood is getting damaged from pulling them out no matter what tool I use because they are so deep. I use these punches to pound down the nails deep enough in order to fill with wood filler and then sand etc. Works like a charm. Good tool good price!
