> 3 daySeriously great value. The box may be small, but it is absolutely packed with content. Even if the standard 2 player game were weak (which it absolutely is not!), the immense variety of ways to play would pick up the slack. Coop? Solo? Teams? Free-for-all? All of those are included, with a couple unique sets of rules for *each* of those.

> 3 dayPretty great more duplicates than colony wars so a little less variety , play style is geared more towards using one main faction but over fun and 4 can play so hey why not? Boss cards look cool too

> 3 dayMy kids love playing Star Realms. It’s relatively easy to learn and straightforward. I had expected a little more arguing since I have one kid who likes to dominate games, but even they were amicable to play with this game.

> 3 dayThis game packs a LOT of value in a small box! Its a deck building game where all players start with decks of the same weak cards. Some cards give you points to buy better cards, some give you points to use against the enemy, some give you more life points. The better cards are in a row of five on the table and each player during their turn can use whatever buying points they have to buy whatever they can afford. Whenever a card is bought, it is immediately replaced by a new card from the large deck of purchase cards, so the purchase row is never empty. Then the player uses their attack points on the enemy. This goes on until the enemy is defeated or the last player is. This version of Star Realms includes several cards that set up an enemy to defeat and rules for how it acts during its turn. This allows you to play solo games against these various threats. Groups can also play against these threats, so each player is fighting a common enemy instead of fighting against each other. This co-op style of play can help avoid any hurt feelings or resentment if you have kids (or even adults) who might get grumpy about losing often. If they get knocked out of the game, it was the common enemy that did them in - not someone sitting at the table with them. Or 2 to 4 players can have a good time just battling each other. Ive never been in a game with more than 2 players, so cant comment on how it plays with 3 or 4. This is a nice small-box game that stores easily but contains a good bit of variety in its gameplay. Easy to take with you to a friends house or to a coffee shop or on vacation! There are a few reasonably priced expansions you can buy in the future if you feel like adding more variety, but this set contains everything you need to have a lot of fun for a great price.

> 3 dayThis is an inexpensive, quick to learn deck builder. We combined this with the base Star Realms deck to allow for more players, and we have been having a blast!

> 3 dayMy girlfriend and I were looking for a new game to play together when we came across Star Realms. Not only does it have strategy and intrigue akin to games like Magic, which I appreciate, but it is also easy to learn and somewhat whimsical, similar to more mainstream, classic board/card games. My girlfriend enjoys it as much as I do! The rulebook for this expansion includes instructions on how to play a traditional 1v1 game, as well as rule modifications for 1-4 player game types including cooperative scenarios. The package includes 8 challenge cards that layout a framework for cooperative missions. When combined with the original Star Realms set or the Colonies expansion, the game will support up to 6 players. I have yet to stray from the traditional 1v1 setup, but Im sure it will be a blast when I do. Its difficult to beat the value of this game, especially for a two-player!
