> 3 dayIf you are new to Star Realms or considering acquiring a deck I would recommend this version over the original. While its true the cards are slightly different, it plays by the same rules and the cards are only slightly different. However, Frontiers is significantly cheaper than the original version. It comes with enough cards for a 4 player game, while the base version only supports 2 players. You also get solo and co-op missions in this pack, which is another bonus not included in the original version. This is a standalone expansion so you really dont need an original deck.

Greater than one weekIf you have played any tabletop games besides the classics you will learn it in one play. Great fun game. Co-OP is a blast.

Greater than one weekReally like this game, its simple to learn how to play and the games dont take too long, so it is addicting. Frontiers is the best to start with as it has a 4-player option out of the box. Primarily a 1-on-1 dual game, but this has options for a 4-player( usually 2-on-2) or a free-for-all. The 8 challenge options can set up different scenarios for game play also(2 against the scenario or some variability with more players). The art is pretty slick and is a solid deck building game! Lots of expansions as well to keep the game fresh if you choose.

Greater than one weekMy girlfriend and I were looking for a new game to play together when we came across Star Realms. Not only does it have strategy and intrigue akin to games like Magic, which I appreciate, but it is also easy to learn and somewhat whimsical, similar to more mainstream, classic board/card games. My girlfriend enjoys it as much as I do! The rulebook for this expansion includes instructions on how to play a traditional 1v1 game, as well as rule modifications for 1-4 player game types including cooperative scenarios. The package includes 8 challenge cards that layout a framework for cooperative missions. When combined with the original Star Realms set or the Colonies expansion, the game will support up to 6 players. I have yet to stray from the traditional 1v1 setup, but Im sure it will be a blast when I do. Its difficult to beat the value of this game, especially for a two-player!

> 3 dayMy teen has tried to interest me in many card style games before ( Pokémon, Magic, YuGiO) and I hated them all. I was dreading her wanting to play this with me but got it for Christmas for her since it was high on the list. I have been asking her to play! It is quick, easy to learn, and enjoyable. It is created so there is no need to keep buying more cards to remain a competitive player. Just get this set and up to 4 people can have fun over and over. There are even special rules that allow for single player games.

> 3 dayI love the game, my girlfriend and I have bought 2 more expansions so we can host larger games though we usually just play against each other. Highly recommend this one to anyone who enjoys deck-building games.
