Strider - 12 Classic Balance Bike, Ages 18 Months to 3 Years

> 3 dayI disappointed. This Strider will be great for my granddaughter but there are a few big problems. First the tires and seat are plastic. I doubt the tires would last for more than one child. Also it does not have quick released bolts for the seat and handle bars. If ever I bike needed those it’s this one., My granddaughter is an only child so I think it will hold up for her but if you have more than one child using it I would pass on this model. I bought a Strider for my other grandchildren and it doesn’t have these problems and after 7yrs it’s still going strong. Ok I need to change one thing. There is a quick release on the seat.

Greater than one weekThis bike is so perfect for my grandson with only one exception, and that is the plastic wheels. They dont grip like rubber wheels would, and I think that would be just that much more safe. Other than that, wonderful!

> 3 dayMy 22 month old son LOVES this bike!!! I am amazed to watch the progress on it! It started off a little rocky like he might not like it because he couldnt figure out how to pick it by himself. With a little help and guidance in the beginning he is now able to pick it up, get on, and go! He started just barely walking with it. He wasnt able to turn it and now that he has gotten use to it he is turning corners, turning around, and now even starting to run while ridding it! He has to walk it over stumps, limbs, or any obstacles he can find. This is an amazing bike! He had received a bike similar to this but the seat did not go low enough and he still cant reach the floor on that bike. This bike the seat goes low enough he was able to get right on it and it looks to adjust high enough he will have plenty of room to grow! Great bike, great price! Love the strider brand bike!

> 3 dayI did my research before purchase and Im my opinion.. this is the balance bike to get! Tires were a big issue on all the reviews.. this one does have the harder foam looking tires.. I was honestly concerned.. but took a chance.. the other one kinda comparable...banana I think.. had hard shiny plastic tires and tire reviews were terrible... slick on grass and gravel.. and the handle bars seemed oddly angled.. These tires on the strider bike are fine! And the handle bars look great .. And it was perfect height for our 18 month old who is not on the tall end of the spectrum, lol. We dig this bike! Glad we bought it!! Vroom vroom :)

> 3 dayWe bought this bike over others because the reviews made it sound like it was better build quality. Not the case. Since this bike is meant for little kids that grow fast, you should expect to have to adjust the seat height often. To adjust it you have to use a hex wrench to tighten/loosen a bolt and non-standard nut. The overall assembly is reminiscent of Ikea furniture. And like Ikea, the quality of the nut was so bad that it stripped after the third time I tightened it. This means the seat wont stay up anymore. Also, the seat post is painted black and the paint chipped off right away when the seat post was wiggled. All-in-all its just a bad design. Most kid bike seats have a tensioning arm built into them so you dont need any extra hardware to adjust them. You also shouldnt cheap out on the paint job of a part that is going to rub on other parts or is held in place by friction. Santa brought this for my 3 year old for Christmas. She was looking forward to it all season. She only got to ride the bike for 15 mins before it broke. It was really sad to hear her worry that Santa was going to be mad that her bike was broken already. Had to make sure she knew Santa was really sorry and would get her a new one right away. I think Ill try the Kazaam bike this time.
