> 3 dayI’m making this quilt as a BOM at my local shop. I like the intricate look of tiny blocks so I was drawn to the format of this project - each block made small, smaller, and smallest. That’s the good part - it’s a sweet looking quilt. However, I don’t like many of the construction methods. For example, one of the first blocks had us make flying geese using the flip corner method and then sew those units end to end. That meant sewing through 6 layers of fabric at the end of the seam. We pressed that seam open, but it still left a sizable bump. Second, the sizes given in the text for the blocks, and the units that make up each block (flying geese, half square triangles, etc.) are unfinished while the block illustrations are finished. I wish the author had simply stated “unfinished” after the measurement. I’ve trimmed things to the wrong size more than once because my subconscious mind sees the finished size illustration and thinks the instructions are finished size as well. I’m reminded when I’m 3/4 of the way assembling the block and the pieces don’t fit together. I’ll finish the project and it will be fine, but I doubt I’ll buy anything else from this author.

> 3 dayI am an avid quilter who loves scrappy patterns. This looked like a lot of fun and the biggest reason that I purchased it is that there are layout options depending on what you want. I’ve looked the book over and think that the instructions are well written and very well explained. I’m looking forward to starting it, but have 3-4 quilt projects in front of it before I can get to it. Can’t wait!!!

> 3 daySummer Moon- I’ve found the instructions to be clear and simple, and am making not one but two of these quilts as it works well in different seasonal fabrics. I’m also excited about putting together a mini quilt using only some of the 5” blocks. So versatile. Once again Carrie Nelson and It’s Sew Emma have produced a great set of patterns. Thanks!

> 3 dayThis patter book is easy to follow. The down side was the measurements when cutting. Mostly 1/8 instead of the usual 1/4 in quilting. This will be a beautiful quilt. I dont recommend this for beginners.

> 3 dayI am currently working on this as a challenge quilt with a group of women from our Fresno CA retreat. The instructions are easy and photos have been included. Lots of points and SCANT seams are the ticket. It will be a wonderful quilt.
