My son wanted a new backpack for college. He always likes a few compartments to organize with. Swiss Gear bags never disappoint with quality and attention to detail. He’s hard on packs, and we still have two from this brand around the house. Worth the money.

There are numerous pockets and compartments for your items. My son is using this for his school backpack. As they are not allowed to use lockers this year, this is essentially his locker. He needed a place to separate his different school supplies, books, and notebooks and have them easily accessible so that he is not hunting and having to pull everything out to find one particular item. This bag is working out perfectly for him.

Usable, but should have had more internal pockets instead of the totally useless-to-me Shoe pocket that takes up so much room inside the bag if you actually put shoes inside the pocket. Not as many usable internal pockets as would appear from photos. The shoe pocket is also of thin material that will probably not last long if you actually put shoes inside it. With perfect 20/29 hindsight realize I should have bought the other model. Durability; Looks durable, but only actual usage and time will tell that. Annoying zipper strap arrangements, not really well thought out by the designer.. You have to unfasten them to use the bag zipper there. (See photos) Has two totally annoying useless straps with round plastic circles at the end of them hanging down the bottom of the bag. These are for adjusting the bag to fit your back, but some way of fastening the extra length of them up and out of the way should have been considered. Will probably just cut the extra length off, since there is apparently nothing on the bag that those plastic circles at the ends actually fasten to. (See photos) No instructions included with the bag; but lots of lovely tags to explain, fastened here and there on the bag for instructions. The lock is a joke a kid could easily force open, if you want a lock on the bag get a real one. Keeping it, but will modify it to fit my needs. Overpriced for what you get, and annoying. Will probably just remove the worthless fragile shoe pocket by cutting it out inside the bag, never use that zipper, and use industrial silicon glue to place some durable pockets inside the bag in that compartment. Silicon gluing durable pouches inside to make more pockets works for me. Have modified bags before.

This bag is great. Not huge and not small just the right size. Has a good amount of organization and compartments to keep things In their place. The old thing that would be better is if the keep cold zipper pouch was bigger. I can keep a tall red bull in there but a 1lt water bottle size would have been nice. Other than that I think this bag is perfect. Its my daily laptop backpack as I travel to different sites for work.

I’ve never seen a pack pack with this many features. It has amazing organization and spaces for everything I need. I love the sunglasses pouch, insulated drink compartment (it really works!), laptop holder, portable battery holder with wire, etc. Looks great too and amazing bag for travel/ tech enthusiasts. Bag holds SO MUCH STUFF, but is not bulky due to side strap pockets. Quality is so good I can imagine it lasting 5+ years.

I travel constantly as a trainer and a tech. Got tired of wheelie bags where one hand is always busy and went to packs a few years ago. The ones I had made me feel like a hunchback. Just got this bag, fit ALL of my tech inside, put it on and fell in luv. It carries high, has a chest strap that moves, easily fits a chromebook and macbook air and has plenty of pockets. Zippers seem well made and there are doubles where needed. Glasses pocket is a bene! and under pocket is the bomb for small bags of cords, batts, and peripherals. Looking forward to traveling with this one!

Very well built and laid out. I would like more pockets and place to clip on on the outside.

I am fairly particular about the things I purchase. I look for value, practicality, and of course, looks. This backpack has it all! If you’re looking for a backpack with room to store lots of files, notebooks (both the digital and non digital kind), documents, writing supplies, tech items (chargers, battery packs, adapters, tablets, ect.), and a laptop simultaneously… then this is your backpack! Oh did I forget to mention it doesn’t have a “I’m a dork with a huge backpack” look!? I don’t review things, but this backpack definitely won a review. I recommend it man, you won’t regret it.

Bag is better than expected but straps are coming off. Just think that a SWISS bag should be more durable.

I used to use the Wegner grey backpack from Swiss as well. It was a sturdy backpack and lasted about four years. But then the straps started falling apart. So I ordered this because of all the upgraded features and boy am I happy I did! Starting with the color, its looks so good! The bag feels rugged and tough but still comfortable to wear everyday to university. Its a lot slimmer than the Wegner I used to have as well. That one was wide and felt a bit bulky. This one can carry more than that one and still feels great. The extra side pouch that pulls out is a big plus cause I can pack gum clothes in there. The charger on the side is a plus as well.

When you’re ready to move up to a different league of organization in a backpack, this is the one you want to strap on for size, the SwissGear 5358 USB ScanSmart Backpack. Engineered in a Ballistic fabric for maximum durability, this pack has a surprise around every corner. This bag comes with a TSA friendly lay-flat back panel with room for a tablet and a laptop, a front quick access pocket, a fleece lined crush-resistant sunglasses pocket and an organizational pocket. The center compartment is really where this bag shines as it has an internal zippered panel that when unzipped turns into a side-access shoe bag. Fully padded shoulder straps and back panel, a phone charging hub, and insulated side zip pocket round out this great pack.
