> 3 dayThis is definitely a high quality backpack that has a professional look. Just to note, I bought one of the ballistic colors that come in navy or gray. Pros: 1. Quality and sturdy. When I place the backpack (empty) on the floor against the wall, it actually holds its shape. Most backpacks fold and are floppy. I can tell the material will hold over time. 2. Professional looking. Having an all navy backpack looks great at the office or work. Had a nice subtle shine. 3. Very thick and comfortable carrying handle 4. Reinforced, felt-lined sunglasses case. Very cool feature I didnt think I needed. 5. Lots of organizational pockets inside main compartments for battery chargers, cables, random stuff, etc. 6. USB-A connection outside the pack to charge your device 7. Comfortable shoulder straps 8. Insulated drink pocket keep your drink cold Cons: 1. Ballistic colorways do not have a drink mesh. As great as I like the insulated drink pouch, sometimes I just want something with quick access or something to hold a 32 oz Gatorade. The pouch will only fit narrower bottles. 2. No loops to attach random carabiners. There is literally nowhere to attach random stuff on a carabiner. My old backpack was military style with over 30 loops. I really miss having such a function. 3. Shoe sleeve. A hit or miss. Whether or not you use it to store things, really depends. I can see myself storing an umbrella in there. But then I also wonder if I carry heavy books, if itll crush whatever is at the bottom. There is a clip inside to help hold the pouch against the side on the inside if you dont want to use it. But honestly, Id rather have no pocket and just have put a giant drink mesh there. 4. Chest strap. The chest strap is a bit thin and not as robust as most chest straps, but it is serviceable. What annoyed me was that it was super long and looked awkward if I didnt clip it and it dangled. I actually cut the excess with scissors to shorten it and used super glue on the tips so it doesnt unravel. 4. Lack of exterior pockets. As organized as the internal pockets are, I feel the backpack could have sewn on some exterior pockets or open sleeves just to quickly place random things in. With the lack of mesh to place things randomly in on the go, theres not really much quick access sleeves and pockets. 5. Lack of RFID. For a $120 backpack, there could at least have been 1 RFID blocking pocket, especially if its advertised as a traveling backpack. All in all, I am most likely keeping this backpack. For me, I really needed something a bit more professional looking for work and this navy is great. It should serve most people well, from professionals to students. For the price though, I do wish there was a bit more functionality. For reference, my last backpack was an Eddie Bauer 29L Cargo Backpack that had a lot of functionality for approximately half the price and is still serviceable after 7 years. But I felt it was time to get a new backpack and Ill hopefully be using this one for years to come.

> 3 dayYou definitely get what you pay for. This arrived on time and although more $$ than what I wanted to spend this backpack didn’t disappoint. Durable. Comfy handle. A little slim for the main cargo but if your packing light, this is perfect. Fits overhead or under the seat on an airplane perfectly. Must get.

> 3 dayThe glasses box is big and sturdiness, which is block the bag too put in items into it. If the glasses box canbe switch to a soft one, it will be prefect.

08-06-2025The pocket layout on the new ballistic colorway is a definite improvement, but make sure to inspect the stabilizer straps for defects. The stabilizer straps are the small straps with the little arrows on them located at the top of the shoulder straps and their purpose is to keep the elastic from overstretching. If theyre too long like the ones shown in the images then they wont be effective. Thankfully they were the correct lengths on the replacement, which is why I suspect it was just a defect and not a design choice. I spotted the defect when comparing it to my old backpack, but you can test for it yourself pretty easily without needing another pack to compare it to. Start by gripping the shoulder strap at either side of the elastic with both hands then pull it tight. If the stabilizer strap fully stretches out like the first ones shown in the attached images, then the strap is the proper length. If there is still a lot of slack remaining on the stabilizer strap however then its defective and I suggest you return it for a replacement (although it might not be too hard to fix yourself if you know how to sew). Now that Ive covered the defect issue, and the reason Im only giving 4/5 stars, I want to say that Ive been very happy overall with this backpack over the past 3 years, but I was never very thrilled with the layout of the interior pockets. Im glad to report however that theyve addressed that issue with the new interior layout on the ballistic version, which is very similar to the limited edition version from 2018 that I missed out on. Theyve also recently added back the side mesh pocket over the drink compartment. Youll notice its missing this pocket on the product images, but both packs I received had it, as well the navy blue ballistic version someone else reviewed. Other notable changes is the addition of a document sleeve and a large interior zipper pocket in the main compartment. The adapter pouches were moved to the secondary compartment and placed higher so that they sit above the laptop sleeve. This all results in the backpack being slimmer when fully loaded, and it also makes accessing the main compartment easier. The USB port has also been moved to the side just above the shoe compartment due to the battery pocket being relocated. This is another change I like as well, because the only time I ever used it to charge my phone was when I was sitting down with my backpack next to me or when I had my backpack on top of my suitcase. Probably just a matter of preference as Im sure there are people who preferred it on the strap, which was a unique location, but I definitely find the new location easier to use. I dont write a lot of reviews, but I wanted to make you aware of the stabilizer strap defect so you know to check for it. I also had to spend a lot of hours researching the new version to decide if it had enough improvements to justify upgrading, so hopefully my review helps you with your decision I think the only major flaw with this backpack, is the mesh pocket is pretty short. It holds my 24oz water bottle fine, but only just barely. It also doesnt have a ton of smaller compartments, but its size, shape, and features suit my needs perfectly. It slides easily under the seat on airlines, its comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and the shoe compartment is perfect for stashing my laptops power adapter and wireless mouse. I probably wouldnt recommend this backpack to anyone looking for a dedicated school backpack due to the lack of built-in organizational features, but you know your needs better than I do so dont let that dissuade you.

> 3 dayI received this backpack to replace my old messenger bag for work. It is very roomy and perfect for my laptop, tablet, and a few books. The straps have a pocket for a phone or small device to charge with the charge port being also located in the strap. The middle pocket has a USB cable that youd plug into a rechargeable power pack (not included). It feels comfortable to wear even on my big frame. I did knock a star off overall and on durability because the first time I received this, the side shoe pocket zipper was sheared off and there was considerable friction wear on the side as if the bag got shifted and scraped really hard on something. Amazon sent a replacement right away and that one was in perfect condition. Just be advised, this backpack might not be as durable as advertised. Ill use it and update this review if anything happens.

> 3 dayFits my MacBook Pro like a glove. Very spacious pockets and right from zippers and the straps, you can feel the quality. Sturdy, strong outset shell. Very well designed and though off - space for eye glasses, secrets pockets, space to hang carabiners etc. Amazing bag, worth the spend and well liked.

Greater than one weekMy son wanted a new backpack for college. He always likes a few compartments to organize with. Swiss Gear bags never disappoint with quality and attention to detail. He’s hard on packs, and we still have two from this brand around the house. Worth the money.

> 3 dayI bought this backpack for a trip.it has many useful pockets and the ability to open up the laptop section. My only complaint is that you have to choose to either carry a water bottle or an umbrella on the outside. It doesn’t have outside pockets on each side
