> 3 dayMy engineer, particularly picky husband loves this bag! This was purchased for business travel. It checked ALL the boxes. This bag has MANY different compartments, storage options. Multiple ways to carry/tote/move/store. Comfortable straps for zooming around the airport. Holds weight well. The only complaint was more pen holders would be better, and a special compartment for business cards. Visually sleek, clean, professional bag! GREAT value!!!

> 3 dayThe glasses box is big and sturdiness, which is block the bag too put in items into it. If the glasses box canbe switch to a soft one, it will be prefect.

> 3 dayIts a great backpack and holds up to a lot. I usually have 60lbs in it. I would give it 5 stars, but one of the small clips on the side broke and it wasnt under a load.

> 3 dayA heavy-duty, well-designed, spacious backpack! I used it on a trip to Australia and it held a tremendous amount of stuff. When it is full and has a laptop and large power bar in it, it is really heavy, so when I arrived, I took out some of my stuff to make it lighter for daily use. The USB port on the strap is really convenient and, although the phone pocket is not really designed for a max sized iPhone, the fabric is stretchy enough that I could use it. The bottle pocket is deep enough that bottles dont fall out. The other side pocket extends into the body of the backpack and is lined with thermal insulation to keep something cold (presumably, it would work to keep something warm, too.) The straps and back are padded, so it is comfortable to wear. It also has a chest strap that provides additional support. I highly recommend this backpack.

Greater than one weekSwissGear should check North Faces pocket layout this bag is built like a tank and really great, but the layout sucks so I lended up getting a north face recon after relegating this to a gym bag. not enough organization in this for me to use as a daily / office bag

> 3 dayAbout a year ago, I bought a different backpack off Amazon. It had (and still has) very good reviews from very many people. It served its purpose and has held up well, but I wanted something with more pockets/compartments and with more laptop protection. I picked this one mainly because of the shoe compartment. I use my backpack for work and often bring a second pair of shoes so that I can switch between work shoes and comfortable shoes. I will say though that it is a little annoying having the bag part of the compartment loose in the main zipped area. I don’t think I realized it would be that way. The reinforced glasses compartment is also nice, but similarly it gets in the way in the main compartment. I think the design of these two compartments could be improved. My favorite thing, which I wasn’t even looking for in a backpack, is the elastic in the straps. It makes the backpack so much more comfortable. My laptop is quite heavy and then when you add in a water bottle and all the other miscellaneous things, it’s even heavier. My shoulders and back used to hurt from my last backpack and I always thought it was just because of what I was carrying. I don’t even notice the weight now. I took off one star for two minor reasons, but I would still recommend and re-purchase this backpack. 1) the zippers are loud. So loud that others comment on them, no matter how carefully I try to zip and unzip. I think they’re meant to be heavy duty and sturdy, but it’s a bit excessive. 2) the cross emblem on my bag is noticeably crooked. It’s not a big deal, but I paid $100 for this bag and I don’t love that it looks kind of like a knock off. It’s such an easy simple thing that shouldn’t be off. I’ve tried to see it can be turned, but sadly it can’t.

18-11-2024Sadly, I had to say goodbye to my long time friend, my old Swiss Gear laptop backpack. After countless trips, 6 countries, and 15+ years, it was time to let him go. The logical replacement was the newer version. Pros: * the passport pocket in the front - super duper convenient * the fully zip down opening to pull your laptop out at TSA (sort of - more later) * insulated side bag - great, but I often forget the water I placed in there for the taxi ride - sorry Mr/Ms TSA agent * the separate compartment for shoes - maybe. I guess that’s a good feature, but I have huge feet, so it doesn’t work great for my Flintsone feet coverings + it is internal to the backpack, so it removes storage space * side clips - these actually are a great addition over the old model * back strap for use on roller bags. - holy crap, what a game changer - double kudos Cons: * zippers - these suck. They constantly come off track, especially in the fully unzippable laptop portion. If you don’t fully secure them, upon any weight, they come unzipped, tossing your laptop, tablet, extra monitors, etc straight to the floor. This bag utilizes many different sizes and styles of zippers, with the only double thick zipper being in the main bag portion. Arguably, this zipper style should have been included on at least the laptop portion as well (see above) Other than the double zippers, the rest are cheap and poorly made. I’ve already had to retread them multiple times. Also, the teeth are already bent, and missing in spots * no front pocket for catch all (keys, wallet, earbuds, etc.) the only feasible pocket is the one designed for your sunglasses, which means, no sunglasses pocket *heavy - oh lord. It’s like carrying an angry toddler on your back * laptop pocket - like I said before, nice idea, convenient when going through TSA if you don’t have pre-check or are in a global location, but the zipper sucks, picture your laptop and other devices dumping on the floor as you rush to your gate (see above). But the other issue is that, once you remove your laptop and devices for TSA, all of the items in the inner bag shift, making it an impossible game of Tetris to put your laptop and devices back in. It puts additional strain on the weak zipper * weak stitching along the straps. After only a dozen or so flights, the seams have already broken and started to unravel In a nutshell, this is not the Swiss Gear I remember. Would not buy again.

Greater than one weekAlright. This is my 3rd bag. In 3.5 years (2nd one had a manufacturer flaw, they replaced - NICELY!!!) Great Murse!!!! Yes, I stated Murse! Sturdy, durable, looks GREAT, beyond conventional, versatile......Over all perfect bag for todays Metrosexual!!! If there is a flaw, NOT waterproof @ all. I dont do rain, so non-issue for me. It will get wet & the contents inside. Be aware. Still perfect, though.

> 3 dayExcellent backpack. Very thoughtful design. Many useful pockets. The shoe pocket also works for quick access to smaller travel bags that hold my laptop accessories or camera accessories. It’s nice to know that I always have access to a usb power bank via USB port on the backpack strap no matter where I go. Great thinking!
