Go read the reviews in the app before purchasing. Wasted two hours of my life, trying to get at least one of the four to connect to wifi through the app to no avail. Returning, and never will I buy another Sylvania product. Youve been warned, dont waste your time or money.

I like this charging block a lot! It seems to be made with Apples quality, and I like the double USB-C feature. Feels very premium and works just as expected!

This is a Great buy of wifi plugs to automate the home. Especially this pack coming with 4 of them is a great to use to setup wifi automation with multiple things like light bulbs, tv unit or even standing fan..etc With a quick and easy set-up, and with the SYLVANIA Smart WiFi App I was easily able to connect to my Alexa and see working great. Also its very cost-effective too, getting 4 of them for this price is a steal.

You can see form my pictures that these plugs form Sylvania are very very similar to the latest TP Link Minis. Sylvanias plugs come in just a tiny bit wider but slightly less height. Both are rated for 15 Amps and the TP Link Minis seem to be priced about $3 less without sales than the current price on this product. Dont get me wrong, these function well and might be a fine choice by many. I however already have a home with more TP Link (Kasa) products than Sylvania with their App used to setup and control devices. Thanksfully Googles Home app brings everything together under 1 easy to control screen once setup. One other item to note is that these plugs seem to have a slightly louder audible tick sound when toggled on/off than the TP Link plugs. And if you push the button on your plugs to turn them on/off occasionally, I think these have a less preferable tactile feel to the push and clicking than the smooth and more silent press of the buttons on the TP Link plugs. Perhaps 1 edge these have on TP Link may depend on your preference on LED status lights. The TP Link plugs have an illuminated power logo on their plug side which is built into the push button. These plugs from Sylvania on the other hand, they dont have a light in the power button but there is a tiny LED on the face of the plug surface just near the edge which will illuminate a blue color when the plug is toggled on. So that might not matter based on where you place this but if this were at eye-level and out in the open, this would probably annoy me personally but when its not in line of sight, it would probably give off less glow in a pitch dark room than the light green glow of TP Links plugs. Overall much of this might be a moot point other than the physical size being preferable to most. Once you set these up, chances are youre using voice commands from Alexa or Google to control these or an app like Google Home because you have other devices by other companies. Its a good product but because it was just a tad more expensive than a competitor (which I think has a slight edge on design and function), I took off 1 star. If you already are in the Sylvania ecosphere of smarthome products or have an existing preference for their products, you cant go wrong with this choice.

Hi … I am a big fan of smart plugs and the convenience they offer. The smart plug brands I am using in my house are Amazon, Wyze, and now SYLVANIA. While I have found that there are some differences in how the manufacturers have organized their apps, all of the plug I own, irrespective of brand, perform their core functions equally well. The smart plug industry, and market, has matured to degree that a shopper can now select a plug based on price and still be pleased with its quality, functionality and ease of use. And all of this applies to the newest smart plugs in my collection, the SYLVANIA Smart+. Here’s how … I easily located the SYLVANIA Smart+ plugs’ app on the Apple “App Store” and dropped it onto my iPad. Following its straightforward “Do this first; do this second … “ format, I connected the plugs first to my Wi-Fi network and then to my Amazon account to enable voice control via my Echoes. It was a one cup of coffee long process to get the SYLVANIA and Amazon apps up and coordinated, the respective passwords squared away, and the first plug turning a lamp on/off via my kitchen Echo. Nice! As easy as this process was, I do recommend taking a few minutes to review the basic, but still helpful, “User Manual” that SYLVANIA includes in the box. Notably, there is a group of QR codes included in the pamphlet that link to a collection short videos (under 2 minutes) that show you how enable the plugs to be used with Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri. I thought that this was a nice touch and thoughtful inclusion on SYLVANIA’s part. The Verdict: I am very pleased with these Smart+ plugs and the value that this four pack presents. The plugs were easy to setup and voice control via my Amazon Echoes has been trouble free from “Day #1”. Being able to access these plugs thru the SYLVANIA Smart+ app via my phone, or iPAD, from anywhere I can access the ‘Net is the proverbial “cherry on top” and make them very easy to recommend.
