Looked at Rimowa and picked this due to 70/30 split compartment unavailable in both Rimowas and Tumi.. no regrets.. well made smooth wheels good use of interior space.

Love the fact that the handle doesn’t take up room inside the case

My first reaction when taking my new carry-on out of the box was wow! It looks so sleek. My wows kept going; I couldnt help lifting the handle and walking across the room. The handle has so many choices for height (My other only has 2). There is also a side handle that makes picking it up to stow away easier. My biggest wow is how smooth it glides across the floor. The lack of sound coming from the wheels is a thrill. Its very light, too.

I’ve carried cloth-sided roll aboard bags on planes for years and have become quite accustomed to them. The recent trend of hard-sided bags intrigued me recently so I tried a few from other brands and did not like them.

love the lightweight and the wheels are very smooth. Biggest issue is the TSA locks are difficult to lock and unlock

The is the nicest, best designed piece of luggage I’ve ever seen. Everything about it screams quality and convenience. I’ve owned hard cases before but never one quite like this. It’s modern and sleek and pretty much indestructible. The material is strong and durable while still having a little flexibility so it’s not going to end up dented. The wheels are more like wings. Seriously, rolling this case around is effortless like it’s flying. The handles pull out just a bit when you need to use them then snap back flat when you let go. The little attached pouch on the back is genius. It unzips to hold a portable charger and has a small hole to run a cord through to charge your device. There’s also a luggage tag holder that slides in and out. The interior has plenty of room and can be expanded to add more space. The expansion is brilliant. Instead of adding a few inches of weak material or fabric, the case remains structured and strong when expanded. There are three zippered pockets on one side and the main area has elastic straps to hold your clothing in place. I really like that there is padding under that area rather than just a piece of fabric. It protects your items from being pressed into the metal bars of the pull out handle. The final level of security is the combination lock which is easy to set and holds the zipper pulls securely. Those pulls also come together when locked and you can put a padlock through them. I’m thrilled with this piece of luggage. The quality is superb and the thought and care that went into the design are noticeable and appreciated. It’s a pricier piece but it’s worth it to keep everything safe and secure, and it will probably outlive me.

I bought as a replacement for an aging TravelPro carry on, and I could not be happier with my decision. The built-in compression system is almost magical, and really makes a difference in how much you can pack. While my travel typically involves 3-4 day business trips, I was able to pack for a week-long family vacation without issue. The bag is light but sturdy with high-quality construction. The wheels rolled exceptionally smoothly, and the variable handle heights were comfortable at multiple levels. While I dont anticipate having to do so any time soon, I will absolutely buy another Briggs & Riley when the time comes.

Ive always wanted a Briggs and Riley suitcase, but couldnt justify it. But our fold over for suits and nice dresses suitcase was crumbling; and we had a cruise coming up with a lot of confusion on the post-Covid logistics. Were not light packers so I thought we really need a BIG BIG suitcase so we can get by with only two. But weve always taken one rolling fold over suitcase because my husband likes to wear suits and cruises often have formal nights.

For years I invested in Samsonite and I did not buy the cheapest model and that turned out to be a waste of money. I love Briggs and Riley. It really is a great bargain and a great piece of travel equipment. Sturdy, easy to push or pull around no mater how heavy I packed it!

B&Rs reputation precedes them and this is in part why I bought the bag. I also purchased another less expensive but very highly rated bag. It was a hardside like this one But it opened in the middle which I am not used to and dont like. The B&R opens like a conventional suitcase which I like alot. The collapsable expansion feature is very cool. The exterior of the bag is very plain and unassuming; the interior has a classy, well-made, tasteful look and feel which I really like. One peculiar problem that I ran across is that the only way to unlock the bag when the zipper tabs are inserted into the TSA lock mechanism is to Press Down on the Zipper right where the tabs connect to the zipper And move the unlock button on the TSA lock. There is no mention of this in the literature/manual and I called B&R and they are unaware of this. It may just be my bag/an anomaly (although I saw a post where a guy couldnt open the bag and Ill bet it was because of this; I had to figure it out on my own). As long as you unlock it before TSA gets a hold of it AND use it as a carryon bag everything will be okay although I printed a small PRESS DOWN label and used clear tape to put it on the plastic below the zipper where you need to press, just in case. It feels a little on the heavy side although probably only at most a lb. heavier than similar bags. Another thing is the zipper is not as smooth as another bag I have. Anyway this thing has a lifetime warranty and I am learning to love it (possibly related to reducing the cognitive dissonance that comes with spending this much money for a carryon).
