> 3 dayEnded up taking a gamble with the unknown brand due to a $8 coupon for the drive at the time. Installed in my Steam Deck just fine, recognized it, and formatted out at the expected 463gb size (Formatting any drive eats capacity so you dont get the full 512) Ran performance test to see if it was true about the drive speed and it came out pretty close honestly. And considering theres slower drives or take more power for more money, this is surprisingly good specs for the price. About the only thing I may have a concern with is the reliability further down the line but considering its in a non-critical device, Im not as worried. And since its very close to stock voltage/amps, increased heat doesnt appear to be an issue.

> 3 dayInstalled this iny steam deck and had nothing but issues. Constant freezing. Since switching to a different name brand drive, I have had no issues. Missed the return window on this one, which sucks, but will never take a chance on a drive again.

> 3 dayI wish I had gotten a larger model but this thing absolutely performs up to spec. And the most amazing thing about it is whatever they are using for thermal management is works very well and it never gets nearly as hot as my other SSD drives. That’s a tremendous bonus. I guess because this is made to go into specific gaming devices they need a stricter thermal management system. For now I’m just using it in a portable enclosure. Because that enclosure has a heat sink I can feel the heat come through the case and I’m not feeling a lot with this drive, even when it’s in continuous operation for a while. I’m gonna end up putting this in a custom music player as storage. It will be much more responsive than an SD card and it will still have very small power consumption and not put out much heat. And it will transfer music many times faster than flash cards. I typically would not buy SSD from names I don’t recognize. But so far this thing is working well and I will keep the review updated to let people know if there were any problems going forward. But for now I’m pretty impressed with this.

> 3 dayI was happy to find the set screw and screwdriver as a much needed accessory. The drive was easy to upgrade my 64GB steam deck. The drive is faster loading games and gives me four times the storage. Its been running great. No heat problems at all.

15-11-2024Failed on my Steam deck, kept freezing, kept crashing, just for no reason and it kept getting worse. Reinstalled the ssd it came with and it worked fine again... Wish I could get a refund but no, thanks a lot. DONT BUY THIS

> 3 dayBought it to use on steam deck. Reviews where ok. Not sure if i just got a bad unit. It failed in two weeks. I would not use this in a steam deck. I started to notice slowed down performace before it died.
