Only worked for about two weeks, it no longer provides a stable connection and becomes too hot to touch.

Worth it if you only have 1 usb port and also want a ethernet jack. Havent tested speed but material is solid. Ethernet works great.

We purchased this product because we wanted to connect an ethernet cable directly to a slim Chromebook that doesnt have a built in connector and the computer only has 1 USB Type-A connector. From our experience using Zoom and other video conferencing apps; connecting a physical ethernet connection works better then just using wifi (especially if you singing, playing music or instruments). This product works great, looks good and solidly built. No complaints.

For an unknown reason, this hub did not get along well with our Dell Inspiron laptop. The Ethernet throughput was less than half that of the Ethernet cable plugging directly into an RJ45 port on another laptop (our Dell does not have an RJ45 connector). Other than that, it is a good hub, and we like its slim upright design that can be squeezed into a tight space.

Simple, but useful little add-on. Aluminum. Sturdy. Works.

Many laptops dont had ethernet adaptors anymore and if you prefer an ethernet connection and add a few USB3 connections at the same time, this adapter fits the bill.
