Great alternative USB & Network Replacement for any PC or Laptop Great value for money, well worth the upgrade with performance & Reliability.

The ethernet uses the RTL8153 chipset. Windows and Linux work great. For BSD I am having a driver issue (with it only negotiating at 100mbps).

As the headline tells you, this device is a useless brick because the device drivers have not been updated to work with the latest version of Mac OS... DO NOT BUY THIS! Mac OS will not detect it no matter how many times you uninstall and reinstall the drivers. Complete trash.

UPDATE Jan 20th, 2020 - After expressing my frustration with their warranty process, seller agreed to refund the cost of the product. I would have been satisfied with a replacement, but a refund works just as well. With that said, Im now at 3 stars. Product worked well when it worked. I buy lots of products from Amazon and I typically have positive things to say about almost everything, but not this one. I bought this item a few months ago to use when I travel. Out of the box, it worked as expected, no complaints. After about my fourth or fifth use, it stopped working. Since it had been longer than 30 days, I could not return it to Amazon. I sent the seller a message and explained in detail what happened. I knew they would ask me to troubleshoot it first, so I did all that first (20+ years experience in IT). I explained my usb monitor and mouse stopped working. I tried connecting different peripherals to the device, also tried connecting it to a different computer. I even stopped by the local walmart and picked up another cheap USB hub and tested. As expected, their response was for me to do the things I already did, and told them I did in the first email. I responded I had done those things. Now, they want me to make a video of it NOT working. I thought this was getting a little ridiculous for a $15 item, but I played along. Made the video, uploaded to my onedrive. They respond they did not get the video... at this point, Im done, Ill consider it a loss and move on. I hate being negative, but I just thought I should warn my fellow shoppers in case they wanted to roll the dice with this product.

Bought this to increase the amount of USB slots while also utilizing ethernet via a laptop that has no ethernet port. So far the device seems to be working great and we have had no issues.
