TGR 5 Hook and Loop Sanding Pad with 5/8-11 Threads (1)

In my humble opinion this pad is too small to do any kind of precise work at speeds over 1000 rpm. 500 or less preferred. Maybe a softer pad or more broken in would work better at higher speeds. This is in the context of sanding surfboards. Maybe better for other applications.

This is a good sanding pad holds sanding discs very well highly recommend

Had to use an adapter to get it to fit my standard 4 1/2” grinder but luckily I had a bunch since they come with most grinder accessories. This really should come with one too. Other than that was very happy with purchase.

Works nice but if you get a snag it chews up pretty easy would work great if everything is flat.

For bowl sanding, I am powering with a Milwaukee 8 amp, 1/2 inch drill @ 850 rpm and running lathe @ 175 to 200 rpm, using discs from Mirka. You will also need 5/8 11 Male Drill Sanding Attachment Arbor Shaft Adapter. The upside is, sanding can be done in a hurry. The downside is, there is so much dust, you MUST have a good dust extractor and need full face respirator. I use Trend Airshield Pro which does the job nicely.
