16-11-2024Saw several You Tube reviews of wet palattes and decided to make the plunge. Price here was better than my local game store. Very happy with purchase. Ive been using this for about 3 or 4 months now. Still on the first sponge. I take it out, wring out the water, and wash it with Dawn dish soap and rinse well every so often. Paint will seep through the papers if you leave them on there a long time, so dont assume discoloration is mold. It probably isnt. Added a bit of copper wire to prevent that problem, no issues so far. Papers last 3-4 days or more depending on what color paint Im using (some colors seperate more than others). Havent tried making my own papers yet, havent even gone through half what comes with the palette yet but have heard the Army Painter papers are superior than parchment paper cut to size. I kept the plastic box it comes in to store the papers and spare sponge, glad I did! Very happy with this purchase. Superior to the sandwich tupperware box I was using hands down.

> 3 dayThis palette works very well if you are planning on painting over the course of just a few days. I would not recommend this palette for people who only paint once a week because this palette does not keep paints wet for that long. HOWEVER, it is a wonderful palette to use while actually painting. The sponge and paper are fantastic, and its easy to clean. My only gripe is that it just is not as air tight as Id like, and its quite small!

> 3 dayGreat tool in miniture painting. It was recommended by various miniture painters as handy tool. Easy setup. Places for your brushes. Nice looking case. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayIt’s great for how easy it is to transport, but I will say it barely does anything to help keep your paint useable. It’s nice that it has a paint brush storage compartment as well. Still better than a a couple of the other wet palettes I’ve used.

> 3 dayThis wet pallet keeps my acrylics moist for weeks. It doubles as storage for the brushes I use and makes my miniatures happy.

> 3 dayPick you up a masterson sta-wet. Save yourself $10, or buy a bunch more replacement sponges for said wet palette. As for this palette, compared to one I made myself out of a plastic sandwich container, paper towels, two pennies, and food grade parchment paper, Id rather use the one I made myself. This palette is very professional-looking. It does not hold or even have a seal. Moisture condensed on the top lid of my palette. The paints I had on it overnight leaked into one another and turned a pale gray. Bought mine at my LGS, so I cant return it, though Ive not asked. Probably will ask em about in-store credit, see if I cant score some more minis out of it. Overall, save your money, go to the dollar store and pick up a nice big sandwich container of some sort, some paper towels and some parchment paper, layer it and get it nice and wet with some distilled or otherwise filtered water, call it good and start painting. Or pick up a masterson sta-wet. Either will provide you with more of a seal than the reviewed palette.

> 3 dayThis wet palette kept my paints wet for 5-6 hours while out, and kept them reusable when placed in my fridge for up to two days. No mold either! Be careful not to leave the palette out and open for several hours however, as the water in the palette will dry up causing your paints to dry as well.
