> 3 dayHaving read the reviews for this product I think there are a few things that need to be covered. First, the intention of a wet palette like this is NOT to keep your paints fresh indefinitely. It is meant to give you the proper thinning of your paints as you apply them. It can also provide you a perfect area for dynamic color mixing. It will allow you to keep your custom mixes for a period of time with proper storage and care. The size is perfect, the included sponge and parchment paper work well to provide properly thinned paints and to preserve those paints over an extended painting session. If you are using the right paint it will keep them wet and workable for several days......IF you store it properly (lid held on with the elastic band in a cool place). Storing in my house, which I keep at 68 degrees the palette has retained moisture for 4+ days (by then my paints had separated but the palette was still good to go). The brush storage area is a nice bonus and works well with army painter brushes and has an area for normal round handle brushes as well. All in all its a good package, yes you can accomplish the same thing with some parchment paper, paper towels, and any plastic container, but this is a neat clean package that stores well. Its worth the money to me. Ignore the people complaining about the sponge being folded in half for shipping. it has zero impact and you wont even notice it once you wet the sponge for use. Chalk it up to one of those things people complain about for no real reason. Pros: It does the job well Has brush storage built in Solid construction that fits together well Includes two sponges and a lots of parchment paper (enough supplies for a LONG time) Will retain water and save paints overnight for several nights (though there are better wet palettes for 2x the price that can do it better) This is a sweet spot in value for the dollar Cons: You can DIY something that will work every bit as well as this for less than 5 dollars It would not have been hard for them to add a rubber o-ring to the lid which would allow it to keep even more moisture for longer periods of time Though it will stay wet for several days, most paints will suffer pigment separation after a few hours (blame the paint not the palette for that)

Greater than one weekI have had the Army wet palette for a few months now and find it to be perfect for blending colors and it does keep the acrylic model paints reusable for 4 or 5 days. It is everything it says it is and worth the $24.55 I bought it for (with free postage). I only rated the palette with four stars as Amazon shipped the item in a puffy pack and the box was badly crushed when I received it. I like the Army wet palette enough that I bought a second one as a Christmas gift, but this time I bought it else where to insure it wasnt damaged.

> 3 dayI was tired of shoddily put together wet pallets so I decided to splurge and get this one. No more moldy and smelly pallets if you dont use them for a bit. Very happy with this purchase!

Greater than one weekThe wet pallet is great, but it has a single MASSIVE issue that I dont like but is an easy fix. The section that hold the brushes have dividers to keep the brushes separate. BUT, the dividers do not go up to the bottom of the top piece so if the pallet is moved or placed vertically, the brushes fall out of the dividers and just flop around inside. So, unless you hold it horizontally, the brush holders do not really do a good job. Easy fix, take a small piece of foam across the inside of the top piece that pushes down along the dividers. Still, would highly recommend.

> 3 dayGreat to save your colors for about 48hrs so you can come back to a project where you left off. Tip 1: Keep on a level surface when storing. It states this in instructions. If not, due to water, colors will run inside. Tip 2: I put a black dot of paint, a dot of color of choice, and a dot of white, spaced out on a single row. I repeat for each color. Then you can blend the black and color to create a dark shade that’s perfect and again with the color and white for a lighter shade that’s perfect. The water helps them blend great and smooth. Paint a dark shade on figure first, then the normal shade on more risen areas that would catch light, finally the light shade for hard edges. Then get a very watery mix off the edge of your main color and paint over the whole area to lightly tint area and blend all the shades. Do this for each color/section. Works for me. Price is a little steep but worth it for the long run if you will painting a lot in the future.
