> 3 dayThis arrived fast and was packaged nicely. The hands are stuck together so we did end up cutting that so It was easier to do more things with.

> 3 dayIt’s a very cute elf, although there are only 4 options, no blonde elves to look like my kids. Also, the elf is pretty flimsy so you can’t pose it very easily, and it falls over if you don’t prop it up against something. The book and story were cute, and the website offers printable adoption certificates and a letter from Santa, so it makes the whole adoption process seem more real and magical. The kids love it, but it’s kind of a pain for the parents. I ended up buying a separate “Elf Doctor” surgery kit to conduct my own surgery on the elf to make her bendable and pose-able. Kind of a lot of work. Wish they just made the elf bendable and pose-able from the beginning! It would make the parents’ job much easier! Also, since the elf is mass produced, the kids notice when the same-looking elf is at the store, another kid’s house, their school, activity facilities, etc., so be ready to explain why (maybe she is your elf’s twin?). But the kids are having fun with it, so there’s that.

> 3 dayMy husband wanted to do this for our 3 year old and I had no experience with the elf on the shelf. I think it’s creepy, an elf that watches you and reports to Santa! Lol but my 3 year old loves it and my husband enjoys moving it around to surprise him in the morning. Idk which one likes it more. As long as they are happy I am happy. It is exactly as I had anticipated.
