> 3 dayThe book is cute and substantial enough and the elf is cute and easy to position. Our 4 year old enjoys spotting the elf in different locations each morning and the idea of an elf flying off at night to report to Santa and coming back before the kids awake each morning is very Christmasy lending a stronger Christmas feeling for kids in the days before Christmas. Packs a very large wallop of entertainment relative to the $ invested!

> 3 dayWe received our first Elf on the Shelf in 2008. When our son was 3, he wanted one of his own, so he took over our boy elf and our daughter asked for a girl elf. So, we have 2. While our elf antics arent as elaborate as Pinterest loves to showcase and our elves have a strict, NO Pranks policy(like no cutting of Barbies hair, no drawing on family members faces, etc), we do love seeing what fun things they are up to each morning. They are a bit pricey, but the way they come displayed and the book is quite lovely. Since 2008, we have bought a couple to give to our kids teachers for their classrooms. We have bought a couple for friends kids. It has become a tradition in our family. Our kids are getting bigger, but they still get a good laugh out of them in the mornings. I get that folks may see it as just something else they have to worry about or do, but you can make it as simple or as elaborate as YOU want. Folks are especially needing smiles THIS year--one of the worst I can think of-2020. My kids started asking at the end of October when our elves were returning to our house, so setting up a scene 24 days in a row is not a big deal for us. I think even if my kids were grown, I would still do Elf on the Shelf every year. Its worth their smiles. I would highly recommend adding one of these little guys or girls to your holiday traditions. As it stands, we will probably be adding the other 2 elves available (with the lighter skin tone) to our elf family.

> 3 dayI had no idea it doesn’t come bendable. Also once you cut the string between the hands off, it’s tough for it to grab things. There are instructions on YouTube how to add wire to bend and velcro for hands but I’m not crafty. A little disappointed.

> 3 dayI did have to perform surgery on the little fella. With all of the fun ideas to spark my kids imagination, I felt that his ragdoll limbs werent getting the job done. I went online & saw other parents doing this, & Im so glad that I did! He doesnt seem to be easy to clean, besides his face. So if you plan to get him messy, maybe get a spare. Besides that, the little box set with the book was well packaged, & hes as cute as can be!

> 3 dayMy Granddaughter loves this tradition, and it came with a book. Had to buy the dog and the reindeer so it got a bit expensive, but she loves the movies and the stuffy’s

> 3 dayI put off having an elf at our house for quite a few years, until finally this past year, one of my sons asked if we were gonna have one visit. So, the Elf on the Shelf came this past Christmas. It was a lot of fun to see the excitement on their faces every morning when they saw what the elf had gotten up to the night before or just looked to see where hed moved. But admittedly, it was added stress making sure the elf moved every night! lol. They like the Elf on the Shelf book, but of course the Elf himself is who they really care about. Im thankful for the plethora of ideas online for the Elf on the Shelf!
